This was hands down, the best place we have ever stayed. The place is awesome.
Our rooms were beautiful- loved the jacuzzi in ours- and they were always cleaned spotless. The grounds and pool were immaculate and the staff was overly helpful and so kind to us. We traveled with our 16 year old twin sons and the staff went out of their way to make sure none of us wanted for anything- ever. We’ve been to Mexico a lot and at many hotels, the food looks good but it doesn’t taste good. At this place, it didn’t just look beautiful- it tasted fantastic as well.
Every single interaction with staff here was positive. The pool guys - waiters- that take your food orders on the beach check on you constantly to bring you drinks and food and they have security on the beach as well so you feel totally safe. Even the maids who clean were friendly. It was impressive. We’re definitely coming back.

Absolutely beautiful location with incredible food and amazing staff. Everyone from the entertainment staff to waitstaff could not have been any more personable and welcoming. This place in a gem located a short hour from the Cancun Airport. Make sure you do the 10 course Yucatan meal experience with the tequila tasting. The Italian restaurant was spot on! We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation and highly recommend to anyone looking for a smaller and very personable retreat. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us while we were there. We lacked for nothing.

Us and our guests all stayed at Playacar Palace for our wedding in March 2022. We did not have our wedding onsite but had both our Welcome Cocktail Hour and Rehearsal Dinner at Playacar Palace. The hotel is great! It was a perfect size for our group as it isn’t enormous but still big enough to have plenty of activity all the time. The events were beautifully put together and the on site venues are great! The staff were all super friendly and even remember your name, where you like to sit, your drink order, etc. which makes you feel welcomed. The food is good and the hibachi restaurant was a fan favorite for all of our guests. Overall, we would recommend this resort to anyone and will definitely stay here anytime we are in the Riviera Maya area.

This hotel is very nice. I love its layout. The fact that it's not too big nor too small makes it even better. We were looking for a hotel that was just a few feet away from the beach and this was it. Loved opening my balcony doors and hearing the ocean. It's very quiet too. So if you are looking for a place that is more chill and relaxing versus a party scene, this is it. We went with our 3 children and they had a great time. The staff were all so attentive to them. Made them feel VIP the entire stay. Everyone is very friendly and treat you like royalty. Can't wait to return. Only gave 4 stars because the floors in the rooms get very slippery with the condensation of the humidity, very dangerous. We had to put towels all over our floor.

If you've ever been to any Palace resorts you know that the resort and the service is first-class and Playacar is no exception. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is the best it could be. Our family enjoyed all the activities that were going on every day. Unfortunately the sea was choppy and the beach was covered in seaweed while we were there, but the pool is great and the entertainment staff was fun and engaging. Our youngest loved the Kids club area and enjoyed doing the craft every afternoon. The ladies that work in the Kids Club were great with him and it was his favorite part of our trip. The food in all the restaurants were great but we particulay enjoyed the Hibachi table at the Chinese restaurant. The chef did a great job with our meal and was very entertaining. Another highlight of our trip was the Chef's Dinner which is always very good. At the end of each night were the shows and they were all top notch. Probably our favorite shows out of all the Palace resorts that we've stayed at. The rooms were a little smaller than we were used too, but very clean and the staff was very attentive. Wished we had a balcony but I guess our room type didn't come with one. All and all a great resort to take your family too. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed here for a week w my family in March. It was excellent — from the accommodations to the food. Best part was the location right next to the square in Playa. We did the cave diving excursion and Tulum both were amazing. Would absolutely return to this hotel. Almost every room is ocean view. Spa is also wonderful. Oh and all the drinks u0026 food you want. Service was like a five-star hotel.

Though the rooms are clean and service is good, the resort credit is a big lie. Isabel at the service desk is very rude and does not help. The airport transfer is another marketing trap. They don’t care for customers. The pool chairs are always reserved and do not get a spot. The kids play area is very inconsiderate. The employees can lie to any extent to get you into anything. It is not a 5 star hotel. It is a 3 star that is overpriced.
