We just had our first all inclusive experience at Riu tequila and this place was amazing! The food is great, there is a broad range of choices. We were here for 18 days, and we ate something different everyday. The staff that work here is fantastic. They work extremely hard but they always make time to have a little chat with you. A big special mention to Jeremias and Ezequiel, two amazing guys working at the restaurant. They were so nice and sweet. We loved our stay!

We just came back from our 7 day vacation and it was amazing. I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. The food was excellent, there is so much variety and something for everybody to eat. Shrimp, crab, tacos, mole, sushi, turkey, duck, you name it they had it at one point. The hotel was clean and they have so many activities it just doesn't get old. Our favorite thing was the water polo and the night shows, especially the neon party. That party was the highlight of our stay. The beach was across the street maybe a 5 minute walk, but you wont feel it with all the beautiful scenery around you. There's also ???? in the trees, how cool! Advice for parents, take a shower curtain. Otherwise, everybody will be able to see you showering. In conclusion, I highly recommend it, we will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 16 days may 22. All the staff in the hotel need to be commended for their service, always happy and always working hard. Rooms, grounds we're immaculate, the main buffet room had plenty to off although could do with a little more gluten free items on offer. The steak and Mexican restaurants we're not so great. The hotels entertainment was the best I have ever seen. The only main down side was people reserving sun beds at the pool bar and not using them till late in the day thus stopping others from using them but we did always manage to find a space.

It was great experience, people work hard to make our stay wonderful. Very good entertainment for kids and adults. They were always interesting and involving both kids and adults.
Food delicious, big variety. I loved their guacamole. Could eating it 3 times a day. Pools are nice.
Beach is big and wide, only lack of shade.
We still had a great experience and will recommend this place without hesitation!

No coffee maker in room is my numerous uno gripe. Had to walk all the way to sports bar and back in early morning. Other than that the place is not bad. Good food, great upkeep and maintenance, nice pools and kind service. We enjoyed our stay. Being able to utilize properties across the street is a major plus.

I visited Riu Tequila in May 2022 but didn't actually stay in the hotel. There's a lot to like about this resort. There are some good looking food options, and the only Thai restaurant nearby. There are dance performances here each weekend as well. The almost open air lobby connects to a large performance area with stage. It's a cool resort, but there's no beach access so he warned.

Hotel is OK. An hour away from airport. All inclusive resort. Food was average - lacking seasoning and flavor most of the time, sometimes overcooked and dry. Beverages like juice and soda had a strange undertaste as if they had artificial sweetener in them. Drinks were watered down - I drank 4 drinks in a row and didn't have a buzz. Pools are great. Hotel is immaculately clean. Service is decent although I picked up on a lot of implicit bias towards black people. Good place if you're on a budget and have kids, but next time we'll spring for an Adult Only All Inclusive, like Secrets.
