Overall, the place is wonderful. We had travelled there as a family of 7 with four kids ranging from 17 to 6 year old.
The beach is clean, there is seaweed and some waves but it is overall so close to the rooms and has nice sand. The territory is full of animals. One can also swim in the large pool. For small children there is a small pool. Unfortunately, all pools are closed at 8 pm. The beach does not have lighting. So for people who like to walk on a beach at night, you have to walk under the moon light. We did not have a problem with seating at the beach or pool. But my recommendation to wake up early and enjoy the nice weather in the morning.
Food is available in different places throughout the day. However, they don’t put on ice, so I would be very careful with their butter, cheeses and deli. It was 32C and the food spoils fast in this temperature. I would highly recommend to the managers and chefs to start putting cold food on ice. We were not drinking much alcohol. But I like red wine - only one kind was included in the all inclusive package and it was not good. At restaurants alcohol is better than in buffet. Overall, I think everybody can find something to eat at buffet.
Two people had food allergies and public relations gave us a letter in both Spanish and English. It was super useful to show the letter to chefs and they directed us to safe foods.
People for the most part are nice. I noticed the difference in the way local guests were treated vs people from Europe or USA. Americans are treated much nicer. Maybe because we tip. It would be nice to have a list of useful phrases in the room in Spanish to be able to communicate with cleaning staff, waiters and bell boys. Front desk speaks English well. However, the concierge tried to sell us membership to the hotel when we were checking in. She was pushy and it was annoying since we have not seen the hotel yet, we were tired, hungry and wanted to get to our room. Instead we had to listen to the sales speech probably three times because the concierge wanted to sell us the membership and would not take no for an answer. I would recommend to come by the guests and try to sell the membership on the second or third day.
The entertainment team works hard but the shows are lacking. My recommendation to them is to do more ethnic Mexican music and dance rather than to try to sing in English. The fire show on the beach was a highlight of our stay. These were clearly professionals.
Overall, it is good place to stay with the family or friends.
