Hotel Plaza del Sol is one of those hotels that surprise you from their looks. From the outside of the hotel it doesn't seem very inviting, but upon looking at their rooms and their upper floors you get a pleasant surprise. Their second floor has a nice lounging area to hang out with friends and at the last floor (4th floor) you will notice some spiral steps leading to the rooftop. The rooftop had to be the icing on the cake as it provided an amazing view of 5th Avenue. The rooms now were surprising very spacious with a king bed and a double bed with a 40 inch TV in our room and the typical hot and cold shower and air conditioning. Bear in mind this was the last available room they had when we checked so I'm not sure if all the rooms are like this, but the value for a room was surprisingly reasonable (around 1500 pesos at this time in writing). I would say their only flaw would be the loud noise at night due to their location right around the party areas on 5th Avenue. I would admit I was very tired so I am able to sleep regardless of noise, but this can be a deal breaker for a few. Also a pool would have been a nice addition which it lacked.

It is not the ideal place to rest, since it is in front of a Señor Frogs who has very loud music and an entertainer who speaks up to his elbows.
On Sunday 9am they start with the music, yes, a little softer but it sounds the same!
And every day I eat until 1:30 / 2am.
Yes, the place is beautiful, near the beach and they are not to blame for the noise from others. I only warn.

Las camas son cómodas, hay AA, ventilador, frigobar, microondas, algunos utensilios básicos.. no hay agua caliente.
No es el lugar ideal para descansar, ya que está frente a un Señor Frogs que tiene la música fuertísima y un animador que habla hasta por los codos.
El domingo 9am ya empiezan con la música, si, un poco más suave pero se escucha igual!

Si, el lugar es bonito, cerca de la Playa y ellos no tienen la culpa del ruido ajeno. Solo advierto.
