5 stars from us! Absolutely LOVED this resort! The staff are SO friendly and the entertainment team is amazing!! They put on the best games and interact with everyone, which makes it so fun! We were treated so well our entire trip! Food was good, shows were fun, and the nightclub was fun. We could have stayed an entire month! Our room was nice and from the moment we stepped foot on the resort everyone was so nice. We went for our honeymoon and I could say so much more about how great this place was - we will most definitely be back!!!

We had a nice time visiting Secrets but wanted to leave a review to help potential future travelers. Knowing what I know, I'd still visit again but would change the way we did things.

Pros:
Beautiful resort, lots of restaurant options, polite staff (especially Edwin, he was amazing to us!!), rooms were cleaned daily and looked and smelled great, different activities each day (water volleyball, aerobics, etc), spa was wonderful.

Cons:
1) The food at the restaurants was ok. Everything had a sweetness to it that was not pleasing. I am not a picky eater and I almost never ate my dinner. 2) If you came in a large group you'll have a hard time getting into the restaurants together 3) You cannot move the pool chairs to sit with your group 4) After a long day of travel, you check-in and immediately they start their sales pitch to get you to be a member. That is the LAST time I want to do at the beginning of vacation. 5) Their $200 resort credit is coupons, you cannot use it in the gift shop even though we were told by multiple staff it could be used in the gift shop. Had a nice surprise bill at check out 6) MEN: Remember your pants otherwise you will pay $189 dollars for linen pants just so you can join your group at dinner (cause you didn't already pay several grand to be at the resort....) 7) They have golf carts that bring you around the resort, and we were told we could not walk the "roads" between the different areas. There were instances where we waited 20 minutes for a golf cart to come around

The staff was wonderful, the resort was great. The only issue I had was that it is advertised as a golf resort. Be prepared to pay 115.00 service fee to play the course, we were told that we would get unlimited range balls, and a sleeve of balls, we got 20 range to hit and no sleeve of balls. The course is great, beer is 5.00 dollars a can on the course. They will pick you up from the resort only thirty minutes before your scheduled tee time, so there is not much time for you to hit any range balls before playing.

Came here for a conference and couldn’t be more impressed! Incredible setting on the ocean, beautiful rooms, immaculate groomed grounds. Food is okay but hibachi is 20/10! Swam with dolphins but had to pay and extra $60/person for photos so idk if I would do it again since the whole experience was just getting pictures with the staff photographer. Pools were amazing and the beach was groomed and awesome. A couple poolside cafes were tasty and tons of staff everywhere getting drink orders. Sometimes the restaurants closed in the middle of the day but if you know that ahead of time and look at the schedule it’s easy to plan around. Absolutely beautiful setting I will remember it and the fantastic staff forever!

This was a beautiful resort. Had some nice architecture. All the staff was very accommodating and helpful and made sure our stay was great! Very pretty beach and nice opportunities for excursions. The food was pretty good. My favorite was Bordeaux and I heard the hibachi grill was great.

Let me start off by saying that if you’re under the age of 55 I don’t think you will have a good time here. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights. Upon check in they immediately start trying to sell you stuff and make you become a member. They are very pushy and not a great way to start a vacation. We’re in our mid 20’s by the way. We felt like there were not enough activities, and the activities that were going on catered to the older folk. We were the youngest people staying at that resort. There is NO nightlife at all. The pool closes at 8pm. The bars close at 6pm. The only thing to do is eat dinner and go to bed. It’s not the vibe we were looking for on a vacation. There was no music playing at all throughout the entire resort. All the restaurants and so quiet you can’t have a private conversation at all.
There were golf carts to take you around the resort but sometimes the wait for them can be really long. The food really wasn’t good at all. Im not picky but I struggled finding something to eat!
The staff were all extremely nice and friendly I will admit.
The beach was covered in seaweed so that wasn’t very luxurious. We had a swim out room and it was beautiful and they maintain and clean the rooms very well.
All in all, if you’re looking for any sort of entertainment or nightlife, then this is not the resort for you and we will not be returning unfortunately.

Just stayed here on our honeymoon. Tbh the only thing I didn’t like about this place was the food. Everything else was really great. Service, facilities all fantastic. Unfortunately the food was a big let down. Everything lacked flavour. Best meal we had was tacos served to us on our Bali beds which we paid extra for.

The pool area is very nice with staff never far away to order drinks. There is pool volleyball twice daily, crazy games in the afternoon which helps break up the day.

Getting back to the food, I would not recommend this place for a honeymoon. It’s meant to be the trip of a lifetime. With such average food it really brings the rating of the hotel down to average. I’d they could dish up excellent food then it could be a proper 5 star hotel.
