I really enjoyed my time staying at the Riu Dunamar in Cancun. The staff were really nice. The room was spacious and clean. The food tasted lovely. This hotel is all-inclusive and they had a variety of foods to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The many pools at the hotel were great. I enjoyed the fun activities at night such as the concerts and shows. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to have a great and relaxing experience while they go to Cancun.

Just returned from a week at this resort and we really enjoyed ourselves. This hotel is unbelievably clean!!! The staff is the hardest working and kindest staff I've ever experienced anywhere!! The food is FAR better than any resort I've been to! Very good! Tons of selection in buffet, and the restaurants for dinner and very good as well. The beach is absolutely stunning and they offer TONS of loungers- more than enough for everyone. The poolside loungers are all under large awnings, which is genius. You don't realize what an issue prolonged sun exposure is, until you get there...it's intense, especially in August! One heads up- every room has a frosted glass window from the shower to the bedroom. Even though you can't see through it, this was an issue for our teenage daughters- and understandably so. There is a bit of silhouetting that does happen, and that is awkward for families.

Nice resort. Food was just OK not great. Beds were not the best but the hotel was still beautiful, a great experience, and a great price for an all inclusive resort. I'd def visit again. Clean, the drinks were amazing, the beach was amazing. Pools were amazing. 24hr food. I can't complain

We are currently staying at this hotel and I want to go back home. Food is absolutely horrible. My dog wouldn’t even eat this food. I have not had one good meal and I’m starving due to the food being so awful. We are leaving the resort to go find a decent restaurant. I don’t understand how you can mess up the even most basic foods. My husband eats anything and even he hasn’t been able to finish a meal. Drinks are okay, service is fine, beds are more like a twin size bed. The only good thing I can say about this place is that it’s clean. Also, I couldn’t find a garbage can around the entire resort. Bathrooms are very limited when dining and around Pool area.

This is my 4th trip to Mexico for vacation. Riu Dun is about 45 min from airport considering traffic and construction. Be prepared to get car sick! Riu Dunamar is a 700 room resort that simply cannot handle food demands, the 5 small pools can’t handle capacity and all excursions are about 45 min to 2 hours away. Be prepared to get car sick. We were disappointed as we asked maid service and reception multiple times for soda replacement in our mini fridge but never replenished. The restaurants are buffet style with no specialized service other then a drink order. Only certain restaurants open on every other night which does not accommodate the huge resort capacity. Food choices are minimal. Foods that are not Mexican specialty will taste bland, u0026 undercooked. Beach area is pretty and good sized waves. Rooms were cute but the couches need to be replaced there is clear wear and tear looks very dingy. Resort was recommended to us by travel agent but have had better experiences other locations.

Reception staff were brilliant. Lift locations really poor. Room was good but no kettle for drinks. Also not i n favour of frosted window in shower to bedroom. Plenty of selection of pools. Gardens etc well maintained. Pool bars busy and waiters friendly but could have done with a simple coffee/hot drink machine not only alcoholic or cold drinks. Lack of an outside /relaxing evening bar apart from entertainment area which was very crowded and noisy even reception bar and Sports bar very loud music. Food was plentiful but not cooked well, overcooked outside but not always inside. Often Dry/tough meats /hard vegetables. Tongs under lamps very hot to touch. A number of things need attention I the main buffet restaurant although waiters/waitresses very busy and friendly.

Excellent service at restaurants, bars, housekeeping and front desk. The resort was clean and food was delicious. Please tip the staff, they work very hard and remember exactly how you like your food and drinks each day. I was surprised at the mix of young couples, older couples, multigeneration families and singles. All the guests seemed happy with their vacation.
