Stayed here for a week and loved it. Service is beyond amazing, food is good, resort is nicely laid out so that even when the resort is booked full it still seems like not a lot of people are there. Great activities throughout the day and at night.
We were there during a peak seaweed time (beginning of June), so the beaches were pretty well covered in it and the waters weren't that pretty turquoise as usual, but their staff worked very hard daily to keep the seaweed to a minimum. If you do lay out on the beach, be prepared to be interrupted many times by people walking up/down the beach selling things.
Our only real complaint is the bed. It was like sleeping on a brick that had a dip in the middle. We mentioned it and were told they would come flip the bed and that should make it a little softer. They didn't come so I flipped it myself and it helped some with the softness, but was still horribly u comfortable.

The resort was immaculate, everything was well maintained. The rooms were clean and the maids came a couple times a day to see if we needed extra towels, which was nice since we had 6 people in our party. The staff work very hard and most went above and beyond.

The reason for not giving a 5 star was due to a couple of situations. First our Concierge, I believe her name was Lizzie, lacked communication skills. She was to help with dinner reservations and failed to follow through. Then failed to follow up on a couple of other thing's we had requested.

The reason I would not return to this resort is the restaurant situation. Other then the Buffet they have two small restaurants which out of 10 days we only got in 4 times one of those times only two of us got in. The buffet is a zoo because of the restaurant situation most people have no choice but to do buffet it is so hot in there since it an open concept. The ice cream even came out of the machine melted. It was okay for breakfast as they had an omelette station, I’ve never been a buffet person so I really did not enjoy the food. We paid premium prices to eat buffet food. Therefore I would not recommend this resort.

Nice place but there are much better and friendlier hotels. Food was not very good. Dry, not great choices of food. Hotel staff is somewhat friendly but average overall.
The thing that bothered me most is that we had late transportation when leaving so we waited at the hotel until 6. They never told us that food would only be available until 4:00 for us, and we would have to pay after that. This has never happened at any other all inclusive that I've been to. All the others have let us eat until transportation arrived. I'm fine with room checkout at 12 but you should have access to the rest until you leave. Especially with 2 hungry little kids. It's just part of providing excellent service which this resort unfortunately does not.
Also, when I was leaving, a person from the restaurant offered us food if I gave them my Nike hat which is very unprofessional.
Definitely will not come back.

We were very pleased with our recent stay at Royal Haciendas! It’s definitely a low key atmosphere focused on relaxation. The service was excellent in every way. The property is gorgeous and the suites are spacious!! The food was good, i wish they had a few more restaurant choices though. And there is very limited nightlife/ shows. With teenage kids, it would have been nice to have something for us to enjoy together in the evenings.

Hotel is fair and service is hit or miss. We did meet two wonderful staff members, at the pool/beach area Jeremiah is the best and if you visit the lobby bar, Alfredo is amazing. These two were the exception to the rest of the staff.
The food and day entertainment is good and rooms are spacious and clean.
This hotel caters to white 60’s+ crowd, if you are not a member of their time share you are not treated the same and often ignored.
We had a major issue that was not dealt with appropriately by management initially and led to an even more extreme event that could have been avoided, but again we were not members of their time share.
Hotels are a dime a dozen I strongly recommend you look for any place but here.

An absolutely incredible place to spend your vacation. The attention to detail in every area was perfect. Plenty of food choices, never a problem getting a reservation, and the staff was 100% great all the time. My entire family highly recommends it. I read someone’s review saying it was hard to find food after 5 PM. That’s absolutely crazy and not true.

The resort is nice. Nice rooms, great staff and clean. The beach had the brown seaweed but the staff did a great job of clearing it and we went in the sea almost everyday. The food was fresh with good selection all meals. They did have construction going on in the main courtyard the whole week we were there. Now the not so good. They want you to buy into their timeshare. My gf signed papers and after crunching the numbers we decided it was really worth it to us. Unfortunately they keep $650 of the $1991 that she had put down. So unless you are positive DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING. It will cost you if you decide to change your mind
