Beware of the rooftop. The manager will try to scam you. Ask for a menu to avoid paying more than advertised. Otherwise good rooftop.

He was charging $350 mxn for a cocktail which was listed at $200 on their menu... No thank you.

The other servers were more helpful and offered correct pricing.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Pelicano Inn in the same room that is beachfront. Wake up and walk out the door and there you are on the beach! I have to rave about the staff. Amazing!!! Every single one of them. Having breakfast on the beach each morning is awesome sauce! I will always stay here when I'm in Playa. Pelicano and the staff are the best!

The air conditioner was really hard to increase or decrease the temperature and there was no Wi-Fi inside the rooms wich in the nights talking to my wife was complicated because of the mosquito

Booked a room through Airbnb. There was a banner stating special rate for next 3 bookings. Have seen this banner on other rooms I have booked in the past. Some 40%, 50% even as high as 70% off regular rate. So I booked at a good rate. The night before flying out I received a message from the hotel saying they had a "glitch" with new software and will not honor the listed price. The hotel refused to cancel the booking due to getting a bad rating through Airbnb. This taking longer for me to receive my full refund for the two dates I booked. Bad business to acknowledge that the error was due to their system and not honor the price. If you look at past complaints they always blame someone else!

The view from some of the rooms is spectacular, and the location of the hotel is amazing. It is steps to shops, cafes, the beach, restaurants. Before visiting we read reviews that said the internet worked sometimes. Unfortunately this was not our experience. It didn’t work at all for the three days we were there. We were offered a free cocktail to make up for this, but it really wasn’t enough. Also the fittings in the rooms are quite cheap. One of them actually fell off in the middle of the night and almost hit us in the head. But the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is amazing

If you love having beach front view...is a very good option for a very reasonable price. Have a decent breakfast but they should include some fruit in it and plant based milk options

SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING, PARTICULARY FROM THE FRONT DESK. WE STAYED AT THE HONEYMOON SUITE FOR 2 DAYS. (THE MOST EXPENSIVE ROOM IN ALL PLAYA DEL CARMEN ALONG 5 AV AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR BUT WE WANTED A TERRACE IN FRONT OF THE SEA) AND WE HAD NO INTERNET OR HOT WATER IN THE ROOM OR THE JACUZZI. THE BREAKFAST INCLUDED STALE OR OLD FRENCH TOAST WHEN ASK TO BE BROUGHT FRESH BREAD THEY SERVED THE SAME WITH A FEW SECONS IN THE MICROWAVE...
