The location is very central and the premises are well maintained. Rooms are spacious and neat. Breakfast is the worst part: there's no variety in the choice of fruit. Don't fancy about pancakes and waffle. They are simply not available.
However, the staff is caring and very professional.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS! The cleaning/maintenance staff will steal your items! We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and I had some very expensive headphones stolen from inside my work luggage. One of the cleaning/maintenance workers intentionally opened my work luggage while they were cleaning the room and STOLE a pair of very expensive headphones. The day we arrived the A/C was not even turned on so the room was steaming hot when we arrived, it took a couple of hours for the A/C to fully ventilate the room with cold air. The check in process was an absolute joke. It took the receptionist almost an entire hour to find our reservation even though we reserved the room months in advance. I could go and on but I wanted to keep this review short and to the point! Stay away from this hotel!!

The hotel is close to everything! The staff is fabulous and our room is so big!
The Wi-Fi is not great but we are on vacation and it didn't bother us.
The pool is small but perfect because it was never crowded. My only complaint would be that the pool seemed dirty.
Other than that everything was wonderful. Loved all the stone work and the large open hallways. All the artwork is beautiful.
There is a lot of noise from the street but it never bothered us. I just used a noise app from my tablet and heard nothing and slept very peaceful.

We had a great stay at Illusion Hotel.

It's location is insanely good, whereas you reach the Fifth Avenue cross with Calle 8 Norte in less than 30 seconds. By foot, you are 10 minutes from Walmart / MEGA Soriana, less than 5 minutes from ADO bus station (Terminal Turistica) / Parque Los Fundadores / Cozumel Ferry, and about 2 minutes from an OXXO. Try the pollo torta at La Cochi-Loka, a small restaurant very close to the hotel!

Our room was always very clean and wide. Shower is good. Bed is huge.

Staff was kind. Breakfast is good enough: bread and toster, margarine, orange juice, cake, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, cheese, banana, melon and apple.

There is an elevator in the hotel (four-store building). On the top floor there is a pool, and if you go up a stair you can actually see Calle 8 from up there.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! 3 days into an 11 night stay and we awoke to no water. Then we were informed that there would be no water the next day also. We checked out. No management to approve refund. They refused to answer phone for Priceline regarding refund!! Very unprofessional.. Kids are running it.

Loud noise from nearby bars. Basic rooms (no fridge, microwave, hairdryer unless requested). Comfy large beds, but nothing too special in rooms. Paying for convenience of amazing location near beach, shopping, food and ADO bus terminal.

To be honest am definitely coming back my name is carlos the front desk people always attend to any need great attitude the hotel is the best location 30 seconds across and 5th Avenue also I love it breakfast is acceptable I also enjoy it ! ????
