The place looks great as expected (and as shown in the photos), but be careful when you check out the menus shown here on Google Maps, they’re either old, or from a different restaurant, or both.

There is also a link to the current menu on their website, but conveniently it doesn’t show prices.

So wen you get there you’re in for a slightly unpleasant surprise, as the reasonably priced choices are now a lot more expensive, and the Cortes - the steaks - are really expensive, just like in the States.

Our meal was tasty (chopped rib eye) and surprising (pre-cooked cheeseburger with everything baked into a bun, they inject the cheese with a syringe at the table.

All in all a pleasant experience, just don’t trust the menus shown on Google Maps!

Wow what a restaurant! The service is crazy, and the food wow!
We ordered four appetizers, the Avocado slices, the beetroot carpaccio, the asparagus with steak and a regular carpaccio.
The Avocado and the beetroot were exceptional, and asparagus was really good as well and the regular carpaccio was just ok (it was a bit overdone, and it wasn’t at the level of the rest of the dishes).
Then we ordered the 12 cooked meat and the tomahawk steak.
Wow, it was really really good! Especially since I’m Mexico they are not very good with steaks, here it was amazing!
We also ordered the huge cheesecake which was nice and the corn cake that was really special and was nothing like we tasted before.
Anyway great place to go and try in Playa Del Carmen!

Very good restaurant, we ate several times and the quality was always here. Food is really good and sophisticated but service is a bit slow depending on how much people are inside. Another improvement point could be the loud music inside. I fully recommend Sonora Prime.

Never have I ever been to a steak house where the meat was pale and lacked any flavour. We ordered the Wellington burger where the toppings and bread part was delicious but the meat had zero flavour. The hangar steak had the most bizarre texture. We questioned whether it was a fake meat substitute at one point as it was like rubber.

It was a a great atmosphere. Felt very welcomed from the greeter at the front to the waiters and servers. The food was delicious with large portions. We ordered drinks which were fantastic. Also, our waiter Irving was great. Very attentive and pleasant. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a great time and lovely dinner.

We don’t had a good experience.. Nov 30.11 first of all they don’t have a properly wine list in my opinion for place this should be a priority! No wine list available after only 40 min and almost finishing the food was offer to us 3 bottles with super higher price ! The service was very faster and attentive , but not well coordinated (catastrophic and very stressful), the food comes before the margaritas, and the wine they forget… Wishing to come back for a second and better experience, because the place is extraordinary and the food is excellent!

Very nice restaurante clean and not over crowded. Service was fast and friendly but at the end of the meal it dropped off until we had to ask for a drink. Overall had a enjoyable meal and will try it again. The steak was very good and price was on the higher end but worth it. Reservation is recommend
