Truly high end Mexican food with amazing service. They practically had two staff focused on our table.

Food was amazing and presented with style. Like for one of the tequila drinks, they'll hold the bottle with a light underneath while pouring it to make it look like a glowing bottle.

Porfirio's ambience was a lively party/club one. They either were playing hip hop with beats with music videos, or a mariachi band would be playing for someone's birthday. And at some point, they gave everyone hand held fireworks and blasted the music! They really know how to have a good time ????

Highly recommended for travelers who want to enjoy high end Mexican food and don't mind loud music/clubbing scene.

The level of service here is top notch. The attention to detail is impeccable u0026 can be seen from the decor/ambiance to the presentation of the meals. It’s a great dining experience, with a classy crowd, good music u0026 delicious food. Especially if steak is your thing! Even going to the bathroom is a special experience. Worth giving it a try especially if you’re celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself to a great meal u0026 unique experience! And it’s a short walk from the beach u0026 smack dab on playa del Carmen’s most popular walking street.

We made reservations here and were seated within minutes of arriving. This place is very lively between the music, mariachis and conversations. Great place for a party vibe.

We had the green chicken enchiladas as well as the surf and turf. Everything was very tasty (enchiladas were not spicy at all fyi) and the surf and we shared these plates amongst 4 people. We didn't try their cocktails and instead opted for champagne (which is not cheap here).

The highlight were the mariachis that came over to sing to my mom (for a cost of course). Great location if you want to walk to other bars/clubs after dinner.

I went here for my birthday dinner. The taste, service and overall vibe was impeccable. One star lost because they asked me about my peanut allergy and still served me peanuts in their complementary appetizer/salsa/hot sauces. I only found out after I had eaten some. Luckily my reaction was mild. Hot tip: avoid sitting closest to the street so as to not be pestered by street vendors. I would definitely return the next time in town.

Came to Playa Del Carmen for my birthday. How much we love Mexico. It’s our happy place. This was my first time here and it was definitely amazing. If you’re looking for great food and a party vibe while eating, this is it. The music was great. The service was great. The service was actually amazing! It’s in the middle of the 5th Ave scene so it’s noisy - but in a good way. If you’re looking for a quiet sit down restaurant, this is not it. I can’t wait to come back here! ????????????❤️

The service was very impressive. The Staff immediately made you feel welcomed. The selection was incredible but the steak and lobster was what I was told to come in for and BOY am I glad I did! I secretly did my fat guy dance! You won't regret anything on the menu.

A great fancy restaurant for date nights. The service and ambiance were wonderful. I highly recommend the bone marrow tacos. So delicious! My husband loved his steak and bone marrow too. A little pricey but worth it as the quality of the food is exceptional.
