I really enjoyed this place. We had the Mariscada for 2. They serve the local lobster. Tuna was excellent. Shrimp were large. The atmosphere was great. It was not busy when we went around 5 on the day before New Year’s Eve. The wait staff was great and very attentive.

The restaurant has two levels. Air conditioned on top and open air on ground level. The drinks we ordered were very tasty. We had Clam chowder and a Shrimp Caesar salad. The chowder was more soupy but very tasty. The salad was great, served with perfectly seasoned large shrimp. We ordered a 600 gram lobster tail and the filet with lobster. They lobsters were broiled to perfection. The only knock on the meal was the steak. It was not that good, definitely not their specialty (the reason I gave 4 stars). Each meal was served with potatoes, rice or pasta and a potato. The service was great. Very attentive but not overbearing.

I had a lobsert risotto, really tasty and a generous portion, nicely arranged as it can be seen in the picture.

I enjoyed doing some people watching from their street tables.

Discreet service, as I like it.

On the other side of things, their house music made my ears unnecesarily sensitive, it does not fit the profile of the place and environment, or maybe the lunch time.

So my husband and I ordered clam chowder and broiled lobster which came with carbo of your choice (pasta/rice/potato) and vegetables skewer. Overall food tasted okay. I also loved the ambience and decoration of the restaurant. Good service.

This restaurant was excellent and the best seafood I had on my trip to Cancun/Playa. The servers were excellent and very attentive. She also seemed very lively and was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu, something you don't come by too often in the busy tourist area.
The food itself was amazing and the presentation was breathtaking.
There is no doubt why this place is rated as the best seafood restaurant on TripAdvisor.

Our first time in Playa del Carmen, we decided after a long day of shopping to stop in here. Stopping in around 4 PM, we were seated immediately, the restaurant is open on one side to the street but has less traffic than the main drag. The menu is brought out on a large wooden plank that's leaned against a chair, my mother in law had a little struggle reading it. The menu has a lot of variety and options, reasonable prices. The lobster bisque is amazing. Flavors are simple and pure for the seafood feast for 2. Good chimichurri, pico, and habernero salsa as well. Total cost for 4 with drinks was around $120 U.S. for a meal.

Blue Lobster was delicious. Great place to have dinner and the second floor has air conditioning. They show you your tails before hand.
