Restaurant not bad, but takes forever to get a food, Mayan fish was great, coconut shrimp coming without rice:-( and dry
Other wise it’s not bad for the Mexican food
You can enjoy a sports tv while you there

This place is hopping! And with good cause - the food is muy delicioso. They have a varied selection, so eat to your heart’s u0026 tummy’s content????. Special mention to the Chorizo y Papa con Quezo taco and the calamari con ajo y mantequilla. Dang but they are soooooo good! Please come u0026 try these, if not the other fares on the menu. Reasonably priced, too! Bonus points if you love sports, say NFL????because they have several TVs showing the games. Come between 6-8pm and it’s hora feliz. Order food and you get 2 drinks for the price of 1????????????????????????. Oh they make you wash your hands with the sink right outside the door. All servers wear masks, shields and gloves.

Good casual quiet place to get drinks, food, watch sports near the beach. Pretty much all the plates are $100/$5USD. Food is solid every time, very consistent and larger portions than many surrounding restaurants.

I want to update this review as I gave La Taberna a second chance.

On occasion, people need a second chance.

I returned to the restaurant and received a different service and perhaps I will put my first experience down to a communication issue.

Having now returned to the restaurant multiple times, I can state that the food is excellent and the service was impeccable. The point here, is that be clear when you ask for something and expect to receive what you actually ordered. The staff are fluent in English and of course Spanish so practice your Spanish beforehand. I have decided to delete the previous bad review as perhaps it was a little unfair of me and we are always quick to judge.

Please do try it for yourself. The staff are excellent and the food is very tasty (esta rico).

When we travel here we love to eat here. Great atmosphere. Although it is a bar, it is a family friendly environment. Quick service, great food and great a/c!!! Prices really amazing! Huge portions. Cheese stix are made with gouda, so if you dont want that, dont get them. Nothing taken off bill just because you dont like it.

If you want to enjoy a nice mexican vibe you can have a simple meal here. Its a must that you can speak some Spanish, the waiters are all very nice. There´s a happy hour untill 8pm.
