I originally asked for a reservation for 5 outside, and the manager said we’d have to purchase 2 bottles of wine. I then said, it’s 3 adults and 2 children, then the hostess said I could purchase one bottle. So, because no one wanted wine, I opted for the cheapest bottle which was 600 pesos. The server came back and said it had to be a $75 bottle purchase. We said forget it, and left, but then returned because we were so hungry with just 4 people, so we sat inside. The atmosphere was nice typical Thai design. I ordered Pad Thai. Typically, Thai food is the most consistent food on the planet to me, with a few variations of the preparation. Nevertheless, it’s usually good, but never have I had Pad Thai that tasted somewhat like Mexican food. I’ve had dry Pad Thai, and I’ve had saucy Pad Thai, but never have I had it so runny and Mexican flavored. No Bueno on this place.

They told us they were full until 9.30pm. Then they said if we wanted to pay $50 for lobster or buy a special bottle of wine we could have a 'special table' and eat now. Clearly business must be booming so we instead went downtown to a great restaurant that didn't have a wait 2 hours or pay extra policy.

Worst experience of my trip. The manager Alberto is very rude and does not even allow anyone to enter without keeping a form of collateral. And blames it on procedure. The hotel and property has lost good customers and will continue to so long as he is in any position of authority

The place is elegant and the food very tasty. My favorite is and remains the Duck Breast, simply amazing. Besides, the personnel is very fast and efficient. During my stay at The Fives, this is probably one of my favorite places.

Everything was amazing - especially considering this is an all inclusive restaurant. The red curry and braised duck were fantastic - our server Miguel offered prompt and professional service.

FRANCISCO was fantastic, he paid attention to detail, was efficient and most of all very polite. The food was great and came in a timely manner. I recommend this restaurant for the best Thai food.

Martin is fantastic! Food was great and his recommendations were great. Very impressed with his service. Friendly, enthusiastic and a great host. Highly recommend Martin!!!
