Edit: the property still hasn’t issued the refund promised back in February and they’re unavailable by mail and social media. They bluntly don’t care about customer satisfaction. I suggest you seek another property for your stay, this place is a huge scam.

Our stay at Hotel Casa Kaoba was terrible. We had to switch rooms twice because there was always something wrong. The receptionist upgraded us to a junior suite upon arrival. Once we reached our room, we immediately noticed the private pool inside the bedroom. It was so wrong…the pool reeked of chlorine so we went back to the lobby in homes of resolving the issue and by the time we got back to our room, our clothes had a damp smell, not to mention our laptops. The staff then transferred us to the room we had booked originally. Just when we were comfortably tucked in, we heard an unbearable continuous sound coming from the walls and to top it all off, there was also a leakage from the bathroom sink faucet next to our bed…plus there was no wifi so we had to use 4G (that we were charged for) and the shower water was cold/lukewarm. So we asked the staff to find us another room (hopefully for the last time) with the standard amenities living up to any customer’s expectations staying at a five-star hotel. It was beatable despite a thumping noise. We had booked our last two days in this hotel because we wanted to stay away from all the lights and partying, but this stay turned out to be a real nightmare and we soon realized we should have extended our stay at our previous hotel…in addition to all the trouble we’ve encountered, the service was really bad. None of the amenities, accommodations and services provided are worthy of a five-star hotel. Everything was wrong, and i don’t understand how this property managed to earn five stars…I’m a loyal Booking.com customer and I’ve rarely been disappointed by the properties I’ve stayed at so far when comparing the description to the actual place. This doesn’t deserve more than 1 star.

For a 5 star hotel it was really disappointing. There were lightbulbs missing, the room (403) was smelly and there is humidity on the walls. When we talked to the receptionists (some Argentinian women), they were really rude and didn’t want to asume responsibility. If we wanted to change the room, we would have to pay the junior suite! The only nice thing was the ambiance at the pool…

it's a good thing I only stayed 1 night, we reserved 2 rooms, both were dirty, we were disgusted, the rooms had a weird smell to it, the light in the room kept flickering, the one in the bathroom kept going out, in the other room the light would not turn off, all the furniture was all scratched up, the toilet seat was all yellow, there was mold in the bathroom, there was some spider web. I would not return here.

The GOOD and the bad... For the price, the rooms are suites, . Fabulous continental breakfast. Friendly professional staff with excellent eption of 1 rude female receptionist. . Great pool and lounge chairs.
BAD: DIRTY FLOORS, ROOMS NOT CLEANED PROPERLY. UPGRADED ROOM BUT DIRTY FLOORS AGAIN. HUGE COLD JACUZZI THAT WE COULDNT USE, FREEZING COLD RIGHT IN BEDROOM, COULDNT SLEEP BECAUSE OF HUMIDITY.
BAD EXPERIENCE.

An incredible price for the excellent rooms. The pool was super clean and you can use it until midnight!

Even if rated as 5, it was a really nice 3 star hotel. Breakfast was decent. Pool is very nice. Employees were unprofessional but it was like that everywhere in Mexico so can't say it was worse than in other places. Really far from the city and mostly you can get there by a really expensive cab or with your own car. They don't have European plugs or USB plugs or any adapters at the reception.

It's a beautiful, private place with good ambience.
There's a really big gorgeous pool u0026 lots of tropical trees.
I enjoyed the practicality of included free breakfast.
That being said, there were a couple of things I wasn't such a fan of.
First, the cleaning job wasn't as thorough as I would have hoped, the cleaning products used didn't leave a clean scent, it left the room smelling rather strange.
The restaurant food was mostly good, but there weren't a lot of plant based options.

Thank you for the mostly lovely stay, regardless!
