Very nice hotel that is adult only and all inclusive. The staff was friendly and polite. Tons of seaweed on the beach and ocean make it difficult to get in the ocean which was a negative. They were attempting to clean up the seaweed but it just kept coming in from further out in the ocean.

The first night the restaurant was hot, 80 degrees. The same night dinner reservations at 6:30 and no hostess and waited 5 min in the lobby before someone came over. Bartender was not there as well so waiter attempted to make drinks. We went to dinner later the rest of the time and no real issues.

The furniture on the beach was dirty and messy and not put out so people could use it. Really only one restaurant for dinner which is only open every other day. Have to eat at events at the pool in between, but the food was good and no complaints with it. They said it was off season so this is why the switches which restaurant was open every day.

Wednesday dinner entertainment was supposed to start at 8pm and was cheese, meat, and wine plus entertainment. Didn’t start until nearly 8:30 and was just entertainment and not nothing else. Not sure what happened to the event.

Some negatives but overall it was a great place and we had a great time and meet lots of nice vacationers.

Not one to ever post reviews about anything actually but I had high hopes for this resort and was very let down. Me and my now husband chose to go here for our honeymoon and the first day we were the AC was broken. We kept calling and asking to switch rooms but the entire resort had no AC. They kept telling us it would be fixed at a certain time and then that time would come and still no AC. We spent 2 nights there in 80 degree weather in our room. Finally the AC was fixed and it still never got below 75 degrees.

Another issue we had was with the golf carts. When we checked in they told us to call when we needed a ride down to the beach. We would call and then we would wait and no one would ever come. So most of the time we would have to walk the .7 mile walk just to get to the pool or the restaurant. It was frustrating.

We also were super excited about the included activities like snorkeling however our reservation was cancelled because of “weather” when the weather was beautiful all day. Other couples we talked to at the resort said their reservation for snorkeling was also cancelled for other reasons. So it just seemed sketchy to us.

The resort itself is beautiful, the pool was very nice and the food was good, service at the restaurant was great but for the money we paid and the fact that it’s “a 5 star hotel” we were shocked. Very upsetting to have this be our memory of our honeymoon. I do think the resort may have been in between management, but everything just seemed very sketchy and it was just excuse after excuse. I would not recommend.

Booked a last minute trip and was blown away by this resort!! From the moment we arrived, the staff was so welcoming and helpful. Everything is spread out so be prepared for some morning walks to the pool/breakfast area, but there are bikes around the resort that are free to use as well as staff offering rides on golf carts. The restaurants were great, pool beautiful, and in my opinion every review about the lack of the beach is dramatic. There's staff constantly cleaning the seaweed and there's still chairs down on the beach. If you'd like to swim in the water just walk down to the left a bit and it's fair game. The plunge pool in the rooms were a great idea, but I didn't use it at all because you have to pay to have it filled (which I expected going in because of previous reviews). What I didn't realize is that you can only have the tub filled IF you get a spa service (which I was sunburnt so I didn't want), I wish I could've paid to just have the tub filled without getting a massage. This little quirk didn't put a damper on our experience whatsoever, though. The resort is smaller so you recognize other guests from day to day. For example, I left my book at the pool one day and a couple that was sitting near us (never spoke to them) realized I left it, brought it to the bar, and the next day they found us and told us my book was there! I was so happy they even remembered what we looked like. The staff also remembers your name from the moment you check in which is nice. Miguel at the pool/bar is fantastic and Leonardo and Hector helped me on my last day as the COVID testing center refused to help me get my results as I took my test the day before check out as instructed (I don't know why and either did Hector and Leonardo, but either way they rushed to help as I needed my results within an hour as I was checking out)! Can't wait to come back to this beautiful resort!!

I went for a solo birthday trip and could not have had a better experience. The hotel is beautiful and tucked into the jungle between the main highway and the beach. All day you could hear birds and see other wildlife scurrying around. The peaceful setting made for a very relaxing stay. The staff were so warm and friendly and remembered my name and which room I was in. The food was incredible. And the beachfront was a perfect mix of sun and shade. I was able to register for a swim in the property's cenote on my last full day, and that was such a wonderful experience. I especially appreciated the Mayan ritual ceremony performed before we entered the water. I was in a junior patio suite, and loved the space and took time to just relax there away from other people a few times - truly just surrounded by nature. I even sat and watched coatis and crocodiles a few times. I had some strange things happening with my air conditioning on my last day that I was able to figure out on my own, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and didn't want to leave.

IF YOU LIKE TO VACATION WITH AC, THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU!

Completely ruined my birthday vacation. Our room was 82 degrees upon arrival but was promised it would cool down in a few hours. **side note: after reading multiple reviews, it seems like this is a reoccurring issue and a bait and switch, scam of a hotel.
No accommodations were offered to us even after complaining about the heat in our room. They charge you $20 USD for in suite dining (not disclosed info), which we had no other choice but to eat in our room because the restaurants also didn’t have AC. Only one restaurant is open every other night other than the snack bar, which was not disclosed until we got there. The “so called” soak tub in the room is not free, they charge you to fill a tub with water!!

There is no cigar lounge as stated on there website and other sites. This was blown away by a hurricane in 2021 as told to us by staff named Ricardo on our first day and they didn’t have the money to renovate it.

We ended our trip within 24hrs due to extreme heat in our room and there not being any AC on the property!! Was told by Mario during checkout that they’re “sorry for the inconvenience, and we will be issuing you a refund” but that was another lie told by them as we are still getting the run around!!
This place needs to be shut down and renovated asap so that they can stop scamming people and stealing our money!!!

This was our second time staying at the Blue Diamond. It’s one of our favorite places to vacation when we are looking to rest, relax u0026 turn down for a while. The resort looks like it was built into a jungle and has lots of different types of wildlife roaming the grounds. The accommodations are nice and the staff is WONDERFUL! One of our favorite parts is the privacy and personal space you can get, whether in your room or on the beach. In these pandemic times, it was really great to not have to worry about crowds.

Our waiters Carlos, Margarita u0026 Reuben made sure that each dining experience exceeded our expectations. Patricia and Rebecca were awesome hostesses. Wendy and Alfredo were pleasant, checked on us regularly and answered all of our questions. By the end of the trip, Pedro u0026 Leo were like family to us. I don’t remember everyone else’s name but the entire team provided the best customer experience that I have ever had at a resort. It’s really hard to describe how amazing they are...everyone just wants you to have the best vacation.

I should say... this is not the place to be if you are looking for party vibes and lots of entertainment. This place feels more like a luxury retreat where you go to rest and recharge. Additionally, if you are looking for white sand and clear blue water beach access, you will be disappointed. The resort is dealing with the same thing many places and resorts in the Caribbean are dealing with...a HUGE sargassum (seaweed) problem due to climate change. I can’t believe how much things have deteriorated since our first trip. That said, this is not their fault and beyond their control. The resort has men out there for 8 hours a day working HARD to clear the beach so don’t let this keep you from visiting. If you are looking for a place in the Cancun, the Blue Diamond should be high on your list. We are already planning our next trip!

The customer care and service were about as bad as it gets. Your kinda trapped. To go elsewhere is a $50:00 cab ride into the unknown. Quality of Food was tragic. Really really disappointed. Most of the time we are normal folks. Uber riders and inexpensive airline tickets. But when you pay for elite you would expect elite. This place fell short at
every chance.
