Holiday Inn Merida, an IHG Hotel

Stayed at this hotel overnight on my way to Campeche. Staff were amazing, kind and spoke some English, which was helpful! Rooms were large and clean overlooking a nice courtyard. Bed was comfortable. Centrally located with a Starbucks around the corner. The restaurant staff were attentive and food was fresh. Great experience!

Ate the brunch in the dining room, not a guest at the hotel. The brunch had many tasty dishes, including an omelet order station. The food was well presented and tasty.

But I must say, the coffee was spectacular. I drank many cups and hmm-ed to myself with every one.

There was also a pianist who played a nice variety of music at just the right volume to be able to hear the song without it being intrusive.

This hotel is located in Ave. Colon, there are shops and restaurants around.
Nice quiete area.
Did enjoy my stay here.
About 20 minutes to airport but this is at not at rush hour.
Rush hours are 30 to 40 minutes.
Do recommend this hotel.

We were there last week enjoying the beautiful outdoor decoration, spotlights, live music, buffet, excellent service from our waitress Eunice and all the staff dressed in white, but the night was ruined with his bad character, bad attitude, and bad service by the only guy who dressed all in black, short stature and short hair. For this person alone I would not recommend the place, but I congratulate the rest of the staff who did make our evening enjoyable.

Rustic but good location. Rooms are basic but functional. Gym is well equipped (but you have to ask for the AC to be turned on!). Breakfast is very good. Pool area is nice. Safe.

Great place, staff and service is out of this world. Newly renovated clean and immaculate hotel. Very safe area with a Walmart just across the street and many great dining options both here at the hotel and within walking distance.
10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend.

If you are going to visit Merida and you need a place to stay then stop looking around because it has ended at the Holiday Inn Merida.

It is truely a nice place to stay at when. the people at the restaurant, like Francisco and Nancy, or at the bar, like Fernando, always set out their goals to please you if it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner no matter what.

The rates are okay but if you contact the room divion manager then she will be more than delighted to adjust the price if you are going to stay here for 2 weeks or 1 month.

The best rooms to pick are from 239 onward for it is a secured area and the only way in is with your room key.
