First time visiting Cancun, Mexico. The best restaurant ever!!! I've been to hundreds of restaurants and this was the best. Not only was the food great, but there was a party atmosphere. Elguardo our waiter was truly amazing!!! We couldn't believe the service he provided. The Assistant Manager Edward was very professional and made the evening right by explaining their menu. We had the Mussels and Tiger Shrimp for our appetizers and the Catch of the Day for our Main Course. They brought out grapes ???? with the water and they were the best grapes ever!!!! The Apple Tart for dessert was amazing too. A couple Birthday parties and they hyped the place with music and dancing. This should be the first restaurant you reserve when planning your trip to Cancun. Fun, exciting, great food, variety of wine, and we got to see an amazing sunset!!!

So AMAZING!

Loved it here at taboo! Saw the experience on social media and was really interested so it was a To go for me when I got to Cancun.
Went there and honestly the experience you see on social media is nothing close to the actual thing.

CRAZY ENERGY… ALL NIGHT!
Good food, great service, impressive music selections and the surprises that comes in the entertainment. Moment of a life time for food and entertainment lovers ????????✨????

An energetic restaurant with a vibrating atmosphere and beautiful views. The restaurant has a stunning sunset view over Cancun and even though it is very large you don’t fully feel it except for the staff always being on foot to the next table. I liked the music with live DJ but it was a bit loud at our table next to the music boxes. The restaurant also offer hookah in a chill setting.

Our food experience was mixed. Overall, the waiter recommended the hummus and tzatziki even though knowing that the house starter is also pita bread with other type of salsas. The beet root was amazing and I can highly recommend it while the feta cheese wasn’t very tasty. The drinks very delicious and I can highly recommend these.

The food portions are very large and the food lost a lot of taste in favor of the size. The starters are much bigger than what you’d normally expect in Mexico.

Overall, I can recommend the place to have a chill dinner and want to enjoy the view. The food didn’t hold up to my expectations however and there are better restaurants with that cuisine.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself from the food to the entertainment! When you enter the waiters make sure you're taken care of. They pull your seats out to seat you, give you stands to hang your purse and bring out fruit and water until you're ready to order. This restaurant takes their time giving you an experience. I am vegan and they catered to my dietary needs. The vegan dish was delicious. I chose the pan mushrooms as my appetizer and the pasta as my main course. The mushrooms were the best I have EVER tasted. The live entertainment is something I cannot describe. Please go and experience this place! You won't regret it.

Fun Fact: They don't allow you to do separate checks. Everyone has to pay with only ONE card. The "Captains" handles ALL transactions.

Taboo was exceptional! The restaurant sits on the water with a lagoon view and offers a Mediterranean menu of which the beet salad was my favorite. But the atmosphere is really what separates it from other places in Cancun. It’s electric and plain magical. If you are celebrating a bday or any other occasion, a team of stunning white dressed ladies and gents will come to your table and celebrate you alongside the rest of the staff clapping and dancing. Beside music curated by a live DJ, you will also experience entertainment from a sax player and violinist who come and join the crowd for a full celebration. Expect dancing everywhere and glasses raised to cheer. Truly remarkable night made even more special by the care of managers Mike and Alvaro. A must if you are in Cancun!

I was there last night (23/06/2022). I only put 4* because the guy who made us pay was rude (long hair tied, he was supervising the other servers.I hated the way he serves us.) When you work in a restaurant like this you have to be polite, say "Hi" or "Thanks" don't be so arrogant, he didn't pass the vibe check At All. Other than that we love the vibes there! The others servers were super sweet and they always made sure that everything was ok! The food was really good and the plates are big, you have a good portion for the price you pay! Everything were tasty, I'll be back for sure! And maybe this time Mr Manager will be in a better mood and polite. Who knows?! ????

Incredible atmosphere, wonderful service and attention to detail. We were so impressed with the service here. We came around sunset and no matter where you sit, it’s beautiful! The server cleaned between each meal and made sure we always had what we needed. We were treated like royalty. The mood change from sunset into the evening was beautifully done with dozen of lit candles and music to set the mood. Awesome experience!
