I was recommended to this place from a friend who got surgery here and she was very happy.

Their whole setting up appointment is a mess. We chatted via WhatsApp, were asked for pics, send them via email. Called them a couple of times, they asked us again for pictures. Made an appointment to see the doctor, we were told to wait for a couple of days to get out quote. 8 days later, several emails back and forth we finally got a response saying that my husband needs to go back to see the doctor again for a second inspection. We were very specific about the procedure my husband was interested since the beginning is not like he changed his mind after the appointment.

We asked to talk to the doctor because it’s kinda hard to understand to the person who called us but this has never happened.

Since they charged for consultation and we chatted to them and explained what my husband wanted, this kind of things should have been address since the day he went and not wait, not sure why he didn’t address the issues or concerns at that moment and made us wait 8 days to give us an excuse and ask us to go to see him again. When you pay for a consultation, it shouldn’t be quick and go. We traveled, not from far but still we made arrangements to be there at the specific time.

Honestly, the doctor is very professional and he felt very comfortable with him I just think he has the wrong people answering the phone, answering WhatsApp and even making phone calls because it’s not line up.

Seems like they recruit kids just out of medical school.

I went to visit a family member post-op and they refused to let me see the person citing "Covid." I calmly told them either they bring me to my loved one or they bring my loved one out so I can see that they are fine. They called security as if to intimidate me. I held my ground and eventually, begrudgingly, they brought my family member out.

I would research this clinic thoroughly before letting them cut anyone you have any care for. From other reviews they do other surgeries while they have the patient on the table, and then they charge additional. There are allegations of different procedures than were planned. Get the surgical summary immediately. They take videos. If they botched the surgery, this video will be helpful in the reconstruction stateside.

There are plenty of butcher shops out there that can cut without any concern. Whether this is one remains to be seen. Few controls exist over Mexican doctors. Whether in Mexico or US, carefully research before letting anyone cut you.

Flashy advertising cannot substitute for skill or honesty.

The staff is amazing, its very clean place and we are very taken care of as a patient!
Edit: It's now 5 month from my surgery, and I could'nt make a better choice for my life! I am soooo happy, I had no complication, no side effects, I lost 2/3 of the weight i have to loose already and I no longer have health problem. I'll never thanks enough Dr. Michel and Nicolas that helped me through this!

This place is a complete ripoff! I gave one star because I can't give zero. They push you to put down a deposit and tell you that once you do you can schedule surgery. Nope! Then you must go on a diet before they will schedule. Ok thats fine but when I asked how long to do the diet or how much I had to lose before I could schedule, they would NOT GIVE AN ANSWER. I need to schedule time off like any normal person, so I wanted to have some idea. 10 pounds, 50 pounds, 100 pounds?? They wouldn't say. SO I found a better center/surgery team who was able to give me the info I need and I have already scheduled surgery u0026 started preop diet. Don't waste your time or $300 like I did with this place.

After more than a year of requesting my surgical notes from Dr. Michel, I finally found out that I did not received the surgery I paid and asked for. 3 other people I know had the same problem. We went for Roux-en-y gastric bypass and had a mini-bypass instead. The surgeon told me after the surgery that "everything went fine, no complication, etc.". Now I got the final report and it's clearly mentionned that the surgery I got is another one. No explanation why.
