Beautiful and safe. You will not be disappointed. Great for the family and the locals are very friendly. If you want to eat great food leave the tourist area and go to el Pitillal local town. Excellent food and cheap. Trust me my family lives here. I live in the USA and come to visit often.

A boardwalk-type promenade lined with tourist oriented shops, restaurants and night-clubs. There is beach access on one side of the boardwalk and shops on the other. The beach side sports fanciful statues placed at semi-regular intervals. Restaurants here are god-awful and overpriced to boot. on top of serving bad food they are crawling with various barkers trying to sell you tours of Vallarta and the environs. Its not a pleasant place for a meal. Its ok for a stroll but after you visit it once or twice you'll be done with it.

One of the most beautiful places in town, there are a lot stores and restaurants, I went on july there was very hot and humid I suggest you if you doesn't want suffer the best time for going are September to January. But if you love the heat from April to August are the best.

Sandy beach with steep drop off
Not the best for swimming with kids.

The negatives: The water was a bit grimy. Vendors try to sell you something every 10 mins. The shoreline is rocky.

The positives: easy access. Umbrella rental is available. Lots of food options on the beach from the same vendors.

I would go back.

Nice pedestrian waterfront. Visited Vallarta during Dia de Muertos festivities and did enjoy it a lot. There are many statues and artwork along the path. Most of them are very beautiful and well elaborated. This walk is highly recommended regardless of the festivities.

LOVE the Malecon. I could spend hours wondering around, checking out the stalls and local shops/eateries. The Malecon is adorned with bronze sculptures the whole way down and very beautiful. It's so nice to see an area that has had a lot of thought and culture put into its design. It's open to all and a public area so not sure why Google was asking if I had a wait to enter ????????u200d♂️ it's definitely a place to visit if you're in PV.
