These are photos from the weekly Sunday brunch buffet. The food was all delicious, and the service was flawless. I recommend catching a ride, as the walk from the beach is a bit strenuous involving a lot of stairs and steep slopes. The Bistro is very clean with lots of open air space and is surrounded by lush tropical foliage.

We had a great time. The Buffett was great, the only but will be that it only includes one mimosa but other than that everything was great.

A friend joined me at Taste the other night and I was surprised by the food! It was really different from other restaurants in PV and high quality. The service was very friendly, and dining among the trees was beautiful. I had the chipotle linguine with shrimp and it was delicious. He had seared tuna and it was fresh and had a yummy ginger sauce. The only surprise at Taste was it wasn’t crowded so more people need to find this special spot.

My initial review was 1 star. I ordered a burger from the menu. I asked for a well-done patty, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and lettuce leaves instead of the bread buns. They brought me raw meat, no bacon, and bread buns. I also ordered fresh guacamole. The menu said it would be made fresh at the table. They instead brought me ice-cold guacamole from the back. (I only hope that it was made fresh at some point and that my meal wasn't someone else's frozen leftovers.) Avoid at all cost!

After that, I had breakfast delivered to my room, which was white good, and my companion had excellent chilequile. I'm not sure why they screwed up my lunch that one day, but the restaurant redeemed itself enough to get 3 stars.

Then the next day I went back to give them another chance. My companion ordered a tortilla soup, and I ordered a chicken burger. According to my companion, the soup was excellent, but the chicken patty was RANCID! The staff later explained that although the chicken was fresh, the cook apparently didn't cook the patty well enough!!! ???? To their credit, they comped the entire meal, so, I won't downgrade my rating.

Bottom line: you should be Okay if you order Mexican food, but do not order anything else.

Pretentious without the food taste or quality to back it up. Absolutely a let-down. The mango/apple/mint Martini tastes like the love child of baby food and cheap vodka. The wontons were salty and greasy. The calamari was overcooked and chewy. The shrimp with adobo might as well have been a salt lick with expired paprika poured on top of it. The salmon was an insult to that poor animal who gave its life in the hopes of culinary Nirvana and instead ended up bathed in a crappy excuse for an insipid sauce without taste and texture of motor oil. To make matter worse, even when avoiding the sauce would leave you to face a seasoning mix that left it tasting as if it was spoiled. Finally, I hoped the Tuna could redeem this wretched gastronomic disaster. Instead I was met with the nastiest stringiest piece of fish I have ever had. It had the near-consistency of an old leather shoe that served as a chew-toy for a large dog.

The ambience is pleasant and the service decent but none of this is enough to make up for brutalizing your taste buds. Avoid this place if you want to stay on good terms with your tongue.
