Like many others experienced extremely unfriendly staff (volunteers and owner).
Fan smelled like cigarettes, fan did not work and bathroom was shared with the kitchen area. Bed in horrible used conditions and sheets dirty.
Change of room not accepted, refund denied. Had to contact booking.com and my bank, still in resolve process. Worldwide, the worst hostel with the most disgusting owner I ever experienced. Do not stay here!

I will start with the good parts that unfortunately wasn't enough for me to give more stars. The staff was there all the time to answer our questions and help us in everything we needed, the location is very good and the painting on the walls are unique and interesting (especially in the terrace).
We had 3 nights in this hostel, we ordered them upfront and they already had my card in the application so we stayed. I'm travelling in South and Central America for six month now and this was almost the worst hostel we have been to.
We reserved the room from their site (the one that is in Google map), it showed a price and only after our purchase we received a mail with another price that was about 30% higher because of taxes.
We was in a private room so I can't talk about the doorms, the room was very hot all the time and had a lot of humidity, there was a celling fan in the room but he wasn't that good and made a lot of noise because something was a little bit broken in it, the room had two windows, one of them to a cleaning room and the other to a closed garden that I think was belong to another room so we couldn't do nothing to make things better, also, because of that the room had a weird smell. In general it's not bother me if the color of the wall is fading or peeling but it's just showed how much the room needs to be renovate.
The kitchen was ok, a little bit old and needed a new pans and pots, the worst part was when we finished cooking breakfast and the cleaning lady threw the garbage from the toilet in the kitchen bin and just left him there, no wonder the place is full of mosquitos (we left the place with a lot of new mosquitos bites).
They don't have safe keeping (we wanted to go to Cozumel for two days and leave our bags there) wich is fine but is not common in hostels.
I'm sure that when this place was opened it was amazing and I hope that the owners will decide to renovate it.

It was by far the worst hostel I have ever been to. I don't care that the AC was only in the night, you do your bedsheets and everything not so clean, but the staff and including the volunteers were too disrespectful. I really don't know why but I felt like they just want to make bad vibes. Everyone in the hostel I talked with had such bad experiences with the people. It gave me so bad energy after 2 nights. If you go there, you know what I mean!

Reviewing for the food. They took an hour and a half to make a burrito that was literally just stuffed with Chinese food, like why does it take an hour and a half to thaw frozen chinese food then stuff it in a burrito, whats wrong with the chef?
The guy working the bar was good and they had decent beer deals.

Checked in and paid and as soon as I saw the room I booked another property. Very bad quality, it was not clean, all full of humidity, no AC, no ventilation either and very dark too the double room. They weren’t keen to refund me either after just checking in. Definitely there are better and cheaper hostels in the area worth checking. The fact is the cheapest one is because of a reason, don’t commit the same mistake as me!

We paid 550 peso for a private double room with the bathroom outside which is very expensive. The terrace is in very bad conditions. Very less water coming out in the bathroom. We found a four star hostel for 432 pesos.... And another hostel for 400 pesos with bathrooms inside the room.

Every place in this hostel is dirty.
Think twice before deciding to stay here.
Michelle is the worst person to deal with and she has no idea of what is customer service. Michelle minds her own businees first, then yours.
I wish I could give half of star.
I can't believe that a poorer country such as Cambodia can provide better and cheaper places along with outstanding customer serivce, than Mexico; sad.
Plus I saw things that I rather not talk about. stay away from this place.
