The staff is amazing, the kitchen is very spacious (2 fridges and 2 sinks), the space outdoor to hang out is pretty cool. The rooms are a bit packed but there were 2 or 3 fans in my room. I found the bed comfy. The bathrooms were always clean.
Compared to other hostels I stayed in Playa, this is a very good one.

This is by far one of the best and most efficient and prettiest hostelsI have found in Playa del Carmen.. great staff managers and assistants, Kind patient and helpful. A very clean and cheerful and safe place . Muchas gracias many thanks to you Grand Hostel Playa love this hostel..A must stay????❗

It's my second time staying here. It's a relaxed place but no vibes. The backyard was the highlight and main reason I stayed longer, could stretch and exercise every morning. Price is ok, cheapest you'll find. Wifi is meh. Light in my bed didn't work. Washrooms weren't very clean but they got plenty of staff chilling so that was sort of annoying. Other than that I had no issues. One girl from the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice, big kitchen. Stuff is very nice and helpful. Location is good, close to the besch. Rooms are very packed with beds unfortunately.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Clean bathroom, kitchen and rooms. I felt very safe here. There was always staff around the front desk and the door is locked at night so you have to be let it. There are many places to sit in the courtyard/common area, hammocks, beach chairs etc. Great place to stay

Worst beds I've ever encountered In a hostel. It's like sleeping on springs with a sheet on top. Bathrooms are pretty subpar. Wouldn't recommend this place. There must be better for the price.

Grand hostal playa del carmen is very well located 7 minutes from thé beach and really cheap and a great staff, and familly.i recommend this hostel.
