I've been in Playa just over a month now and you are spoilt for choice with places to eat here...

I've been to a wide variety of Mexican food places, for tourists, local, high end, street food, cafes.... But I have to say, this place has become my firm favorite....

I just happened to come across it one day exploring the back streets beyond 5th and 10th and thought I'd give it a go... Glad I did...

It's local and rustic, but clean with nice attentive staff. Good selection of drinks and wide selection of dishes on the menu.

The food is fresh, not greasy and they even make their own fresh tortillas in house.You can see the lady in the back corner preparing them each day by hand...

All of the dishes I have tried are delicious but I have to say my favorite is their Chorizo Tacos. Sublime.

I eat here pretty much daily and never really see many other Westerners/tourists here, mainly locals... So I'm guessing it's a bit of a hidden gem!

I ordered the chicken tamales to take back to our hotel. They were very large and filling but a little bland and dry. The taste improved when you added the sauce.

After searching for a great local spot. This was absolutely the right fit. Street tacos with the best flavor, price, and location. It’s a must stop.

So delighted! Authentic mexican restaurant. All the antojitos taste so delicious. I can't wait to come back and taste them again. The beef consomé is so good. If you have handover I really recommend it.

Small restaurant serving amazing food. Picked up a pastor torta and pastor, carne, and queso empanadas. All very fresh and delicious! Also, at a gear price. Please try it out!
