Superb location very close to La Quinta and Playa del Carmen beach. The staff was very cool. Luca, Ximena, Alan and Hector were super friendly and very customer focused on my needs.

At the facilities level you will enjoy a great pool, bathrooms u0026 showers aside, and obviously the bar ????! Wifi was very consistent and without disruption the seven days I spent my holidays here.

One suggestion I could share is for the bathrooms due to Caribbean weather. At the end of the day humidity make its job so I strongly recommend a mechanism to ventilate and avoid bad smell.

I really enjoyed my stay here and I look forward to come back with my girlfriend and friends.

Selina is amazing throughout the world. Selina Playa Del Carmen is an outrage to their good name. Poorly managed, the pool shuts at 8pm. I am here to study Spanish, did the month long stay. No soap replacement in the showers. The staff is not very friendly. However, in 8 days, once my month contract is over, I will be moving to another hostel in Playa Del Carmen, or another Selina in a different part of Mexico. This Selina is a disgrace to the good name! The other big name hostels are pretty booked, this place looks at 50% capacity. Movie night tonight! How exciting. Regarding yoga and meditation, the few good things this place offers, they can't even get it on the board correctly.

A very beautiful hostel! The best I have seen so far!! And Tory (Reception) was the best!!! She answered every question and was everyone always happy and nice. The Pool and Bar was so nice for a lazy afternoon.

We made a book for staying three nights. We made checking with the receptionist guys. Just to find out that the private room was technically a double bed with absolutely no security or anything else in the room. We decided to cancel as we didn’t felt safe or worthy the money. The said we were going to get our money back in two working days. The money hasn’t arrive and they even charge to my credit card again after I was not even in Mexico anymore! There’s no way to complain as they have zero customer service. Don’t waste your time and money in such an unprofessional place. It’s a shame and it should be illegal what they do with your banking details!!

The Selena was beautiful and felt more like a hotel than hostel- so clean and the pool and bar settup amazing. Tory at the front desk made me feel so welcome, her u0026 Pedro took care of everything even our luggage storage after check out. Will be coming back

Room was very very dirty and something was wrong with the AC. Smelled super heavy of chemicals and I had issues breathing when waking up and I only slept here for 2 hours. Still having issues with my lungs now. Not worth the health problems to stay here. Somebody also set off the fire alarm across from us at one AM and tried to knock and tell us it was us LOL. I’ve stayed at other Selina’s and they are all way better than this one.

I have been to many selinas (3 in portugal, 1 in Costa Rica, 1 in Greece) this one was far the worst experience. The AC was dirty, the pool closed early, they were doing construction in the garden from 10pm until almost 1 am on a Thursday. The staff was helpful but not very experienced, the breakfast was small and expensive.
