I did my open water SSI certification with Scubamobile over three half-days (plus an online training course completed beforehand) and I had a great experience. I had some flexibility in my travel schedule, so Jack and Nicky helped me pick the best days to go out on the water according to weather forecast/predicted visibility.

Jack was my open water instructor and I found him to be easy to understand and good-natured. He helped make the most of our dives by (safely) coaxing eels out of their reef overhangs and pointing out hidden marine life as we were diving.

I also took the opportunity to do a cenote dive at Chac Mool with the same shop (different guide) and it was amazing. I felt my skills being challenged but I never felt unsafe, and seeing the light filtering through surface breaks in the freshwater was breathtaking.

All told, I’m very happy I chose Scubamobile for my first dive experience and would recommend the shop to anyone visiting/staying in the area.

We took our PADI open water certification here, Sergio did an amazing job and it was a perfect mix between banter and serious stuff. Can definitely recommend, also nice that this dive center is a bit smaller and more personal!

My boyfriend and I took a refreshment course at scubamobile. We really appreciated this as it had been 5 years since our last dive. The service we received was top class and we had two great dives afterwards. Especially a shoutout to Ghandi, our dive instructure, for his kind nature and great guidance. He and the rest of the crew deserves our highest recommendations - We would definetely like to come back another time! :-)

Best diving shop in town!

We were looking for a dive shop that is big enough to provide us a good service but not too big so they can take care of us, after a lot of research, we found Scubamobile.

We did our PADI Advanced Open Water with Nicky and Sergio, everything went perfectly,  they really helped us to go to the next level.

We did in total 14 dives with them, a perfect holiday :)

Scubamobile is the perfect choice for any level diver certification or for a scuba discovery tour, they will take care of everything for you.

It is a small shop but they are really well organized and have many connections to help them in case it is needed, they know the area for a long time and they will bring you to the right place with the right guide, considering your level and the weather to organize securely the best possible dive.

Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed and you will want to dive with them more!

My boyfriend and I did Padi Advanced with Scubamobile and few more dives after (such a pity we have to go back) :)) Big big thanks to the whole team for taking us to another level of diving. It was absolutely amazing!!! Everything was great, dives, gear, atmosphere.... Every single dive we've learnt sth more. Thank you Nicky for being such an amazing teacher. You thought us so much not only in the water but also explaining loads of stuff outside the dives. Big thanks to Sergio (aka Captain Jack ;)) for taking us to deep deep depths and to meet the friends of Sharky :D and thanks to Ben for all the advice, support and always positive energy. And of course we thank Dario for beautiful Cenotes and the chicos del barco (helping us with the gear and tracking in the sea to meet us at the surface :D ).
Scubamobile - You guys rock!!! So happy to have found you... We will definitely keep diving more and more and hope to meet you again in the BLUE :))

I contacted 19 dive shops in Playa and Tulum and asked them all the same questions. 17 dive shops responded. Scubamoble came out on top. They were the most flexible (e.g. accepted cash, cards, Paypal and did not REQUIRE a deposit), the most accommodating (e.g. arranged for a night reef dive when most wouldn’t), and were the least expensive (both in terms of fully inclusive prices and they don’t charge unreasonable currency exchange rates)! While many responses from shops were canned responses that didn’t directly answer our questions, Scubamobile provided detailed information about all aspects of their services. When we showed up for our dive, all of our rental gear was set up and waiting for us. The equipment was very well maintained and quite new. The shop is clean, well laid out, and even has a small shower. Our dive guides were all top notch - both in terms of experience and personality. On our third day, we realized that we had to check-in for our flight at the time we would be underwater. Scubamobile overheard and offered to check-in for us! Prices will change, but at this time quotes from the various stores for a 2-tank cenote dive (inc. gear, computer and cenote fees) were as high as $180 USD. 1-tank night dives were as high as $110. Scubamoble was a *whole* lot less. If you are looking for a dive shop “machine” that processes lots of divers, Scubamobile may not be for you. If you want personalized, friendly, professional service at a great price, Scubamobile is the best shop in town. Do the research and I am sure that you will agree.

Diving with Jack (Sergio) was amazing! He explains everything and is a very good teacher. He is always up for a joke and makes it easy for you if you are a little nervous in the beginning! Me and a friend did our Advanced adventure open water SSI course with him and i recommend the school highly! We´ll come back!
