Very nice and clean hotel! The staff is friendly and the location is great if you want to stay away from the noise and craziness of fifth Avenue. Morning sunrises form the terrace is very relaxing since you can almost hear the ocean waves crashing and the jungle next to the hotel. Bathrooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the rooms have lots of light!

The security is great, there is a security guard 24/7 and you have to buzz ???? every time you need access to the hotel. Felt very secure.

The only thing that bother me was that downstairs next to the hotel is local bar that during the weekend get very loud with music and drunks. You will hear every loud laugh and music from their cheap stereo. So bring earplugs because they won’t stop their music all night long.

You will found small local restaurant on 5th on this side of the city. My recommendation is Bio Natural, Petit Choux, COA Restaurant

I liked the peace and quiet of the hotel. It is located in a residential neighborhood. The rooms are large and clean. The staff were nice and the location is very close to the beach. I think it is for those who want to go local and like to go for walks along a beach that is not full of umbrellas.

Good location. Quiet end of 5th Ave u0026 70th about 5 blocks from where tourist scene begins. You can access beach from either end. Local convience stores u0026 a few restaurants are within 2 blocks. This is an economy hotel, offering basic essentials, towels, kitchenette, rooftop pool, community water dispenser, clean room, comfortable bed, good wifi, and excellent view of ocean from roof.

When I stayed at this lovely boutique hotel and suites, I found the property and rooms to be very accomadating for my choosey needs. The room was very clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the roof-top infinity pool. That space was very quiet and relaxing as you looked out over the city and beach. The hotel was serenely nesteled in the heart of Playa del Carmen with only a short walk to the beach and fun district of the city. I found the management and housekeeping staff to be very friendly and accomadating. I enjoyed their warm hospitality as they welcomed me home daily upon my return to my suite. I would highly recommend this "Zen" boutique hotel for any couple or individual looking to get away from all the stress in their life!

No tv, you have to have your own Roku account to watch it.
The manager came and didn't know how it worked to set it up, she said it was new and didn't know how to use it.
If you don't have your own Netflix account or Prime you only get Youtube or free TV in Spanish !

Not clean at all , the bathroom was filthy when we arrived, no trash in the room, hairs in the shower drain
...,., walls are made in paper, which means not only we hear everything from outside but as well what's going on the neighbors rooms as well, no daily cleaning, we staid 5 days no one changed the sheets or replace towels,
The sheets had plenty of orange stains on them same with the towels... Which doesn't make you feel comfortable, they could use stains remover or bleach... ????
One morning we told them not to do the room it was the day before we left.. at that point we didn't care anymore.
we booked 7 days we left after 4 and went to enjoy the rest of our stay in Cancun the Hotel zone.

Ocean Zen suites when we arrived the 30th January we had No hot water and no water pressure... when we arrived it was 70° during the afternoon so we needed a warm shower in the morning, ... No trash can in the room which is weird...
For Playa del Carmen, for what you can have this place is a shame.. the lady who's managing is really nice but she doesn't know clue about lots of things in her building !
The noise we hear is absolutely not a woodpecker ! ???? It's the bamboos on the balcony on top of the bench, i blocked it with a small towel.

Nothing is a big deal,my point is, it is veryyyy expensive for what you get.
It was not our first time in Playa del Carmen, there is so much choice way better than Ocean zen suites, unfortunately.

Room was spacious and clean. I really appreciated the kitchen as it allowed to prepare my own meals. Bathroom products were environmentally friendly and good quality. Location was great, being less than 5 mins walk to the beach, and a few blocks from the main centre of 5th ave. It was relatively quiet which allowed for a good nights sleep. Thank you ????????

Absolutely awesome. Incredible deal. Right on 5th. Little far to walk to centro but you're a block one block from the beach. Great rooftop pool. Staff was friendly and were flexible with posted pool rules to accommodate my experience. We raged with house music at 100 for 6 hours.
