Well deserved 5 ????'s, with a caveat.

The chef is young, has been cooking since his youth, and is very inspiring to talk to. Working in kitchens previously, he taught himself Japanese cooking techniques and now uses that knowledge to infuse Japanese techniques and Oaxacan food. He very clearly stated he wanted to do something different in Oaxaca.

I think he successfully achieved his goal; the result is a truly unique experience at a worthwhile price. The sake was also delicious.

Mad respect to the hustle and logo.

The caveat is that I found the food to tip towards the acidic side of the spectrum. I found myself craving more variety when I was finished. Street food cured that on the way back.

Beautiful and exquisite culinary experience created by local talented chef Ricardo. As many other said, we didn’t want it to end. The sake was extremely tasted as well. Thank you for such wonderful experience.

A truly phenomenal meal and phenomenal experience! Every moment and every bite of the 2 hours we spent here were deeply enjoyable, from the relaxed, fascinating conversation with Chef Rikardo to the incredible u0026 unique flavors in every dish he served us. Japanese culinary craftsmanship meets traditional Oaxaca flavors u0026 ingredients. This is an experience not to be missed.

I cannot recommend Chef Ricardo enough. This was one of the best meals of my life. Reserve, watch, and talk with a Master. The service was perfect with the server providing observed,prompt, attentive assistance. This is cooking done at a high level.

What an amazing experience + food! Super fresh fish, flavors, and loved learning about all of the Oaxacan ingredients. The intimate ambiance made the experience extra special.

Really special meal and I came out of it knowing a lot more about Oaxacan food. Omakase is pretty far from typical dining experiences here but each of the dishes had elements and twists that made them undeniably Oaxaqueño. Favorite bites were the salmon roe with chepiche and the agave honey bbq eel. The whole experience was 2 hours and had great conversations with the chef and people in our time slot.
