As Italian I'm always suspicious about Italian restaurant abroad.. but when I've seen Il Gallo Nero I had the feeling was a good one and I wasn't wrong! Authentic, delicious, amazing pizza and very nice staff. The owner is Italian and chatted with us for a bit.. has been a really nice experience. Highly recommended and we will be back for sure next time we'll be in Monterry. Grazie!

I would recommend this place for a nice quiet meal. The food is of high quality and the waiters very attentive. Also there is no TV which is great!

They didn't have few sodas? The pizza was OK. After we come in, they turn the lights so low, that we had to ask what's going on? the waiter said, the owner ask him to do it, we ask him to put the ligths back on, as when we come in. No wonder we were the only 4 customers.

Wonderful and charming pizzeria.

I ordered a margherita and the ingredients were fresh, including the dough, very tasty. The staff was also kind and the atmosphere overall is good.

Definitely coming back.

I miss its previous owners and previous name "El Hornito". The food quality is still the same and now they have more options to choose from. ???? 3 Formaggi is my favorite, It never disappoints.

Unique place with original italian recipes using high quality ingredients and home grown herbs....a must go to remember ITALY.

They close at 11, but when we went there at 10 they told us they had closed. When we asked them why it says they close at 11, they didn't really explain why they were closing early.
