Holiday Inn Express & Suites Monterrey Aeropuerto, an IHG Hotel

While most stays at any IHG hotel are decent, this location left a few things to be desired.
While during my stay the house keeping did clean my room every day, which is different from those in the US, as they only clean the room when requested. While they did a good job every day, the did have a habit of leave the trash bag that was full in the room, but not in the trash can.
The refrigerator in the room never did get cold enough to Chile a water or soda. I did ask that the refrigerator be fixed or replaced, neither option happened.
The ice machine on the floor did not work either. At least if it would have worked I’d had a cold drink at night!
When checking out, the person at the front deck had a difficult time finding my info. About a day later I finally received my bill.
This is the second or third time I stayed at this location, think this was my last.

Old property, but decent for a night or two. The room had a musty smell which I believe was because the air conditioner wasn't running well. Only one elevator was working, which made the wait longer. Breakfast wasn't great.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have someone that English speaking available for us that aren’t fluent in Spanish yet. The breakfast in the morning has a nice variety of foods. There is a good restaurant attached that offers great food. All around good experience. I would recommend it!

Clean rooms, Shuttle to and from the airport and Breakfast. Great if you are staying near the airport.

We expend a night here waiting for a connection flight. The hotel is old and dirty. The elevator had a big splash of something that looked like puke. It feels very insecured, the cleaning is deficient to say the least. Staff is not helpful nor friendly, breaksfast was awful. Towels and sheets are worn out, there was hair in the sheets. We had no choice but to stay there because we arrived very late. Overall is filthy, and they do not have any option to purchase even bottled water.

The transportation service was terrible. We call for them to pick us put, and they also took in the same transportation a family of 10, the driver crushed our bags and did not follow safety protocols.

I do not wish a night in this hotel to my worst enemy, never coming back.

The hotel is conveniently located near the MTY airport and the hotel offers a shuttle service every 30 minutes. The rooms were comfortable and clean. My only comment is that there were no easily accessible outlets near the bed to charge my phone.

If you’re staying in Apodaca near the airport and you’re IHG loyal, this is a good location. Hotel is clean, nice and feels pretty new. The staff is on par here in the area which means excellent. The breakfast is way better than the norm for holiday inn express and comes with the stay. This morning they served chorizo and egg, beans, fresh fruit, and coffee along with cereal and pastry options. If you don’t like milk in your coffee though, bring some creamers.
