This place is located close to the Zocalo. Known for their Pozole, they also have other options such as Enchiladas, Arrachera, etc.
The Guacamole cost MXN100 (about $5USD) and served in a mocajete with some tortilla chips and chicharrones. It's a small appetizer to share.
The Enchiladas Suizas came with 3 chicken Enchiladas with a creamy salsa Verde sauce served with some refried black beans. Has a pretty good flavor that I can't find in the US.
The Pozole is served with either pork or chicken with the onions, lettuce, radish on the side so you can put as much as you want. The soup had a nice flavor and was not very salty so it was perfect. Definitely the right portion size and it was a little cold today in Mexico City so it hit the spot.
We also had a pitcher of natural lemonade, it wad kind of sour so we had to add our own sugar to it for it to be just right.
There were also several desserts and coffee and hot chocolate options that I did not try since I was full from the meal.
The restauraunt itself has some paintings and light fixtures as well as tables and booths. Also has a second floor upstairs with access via stairs. Servers were friendly and they accept Pesos and Credit Cards as well.
Total spent for the 2 meals, appetizer, and the pitcher of lemonade and a tip was 600MXN ($30 USD).
Definitely would recommend if you are in the zocalo area.
