It’s a nice French restaurant in Mexico City. The Foi grass and Confit de Canard are a must. Prices around $1,000 mxn per person without wine. The service could be better, they only recommend you the most expensive plates.

Excellent French type restaurant. Service and attention are just as high expectations. Meals are superb! Environment of the place is very well organized. Another plus: it is 365 and 24hrs open. Of course parking is available. My personal experience this time and for a French food restaurant was just excellent and as I expected.

Beautiful restaurant with overly attentive wait staff. The wine list is excellent but it is on a tablet which makes it a little inconvenient given its content. The wine waiter stands over you, which is disconcerting. The Carpaccio de Foie Gras was disappointing. I assumed a thinly sliced pate but received a plate of paste. The French onion soup is delicious but the sweetness seems artificial, not due to caramelized onions. The duck confit was very good. It is a place to be seen and over rated.

I'm from Paris. But I don't live in France anymore. I missed the bistro food, our French junk food.

But above all I was so surprised to find out they had a "au pied de cochon" in CDMX.
The reason why is that this restaurant is a nightlife fixture in Paris, where the party animals and the noctambules hang out if they are hungry late at night or if all the parties in town suck, or any other reasons to be honest.

Please tell you taxi that the restaurant is located within the hotel, our Uber driver was a bit confused when he dropped us at the entrance of the hotel.

So here we go, from the popular neighborhood of Les Halles to the super chic Intercontinental where people are dressed like they are attending the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. This glimpse into glamorous CDMX was refreshing.
You walk through the lobby and feel the cosmopolitan ambiance all around you. There is a bar that feels like the early 00s, very geometric filled with some kind of outdated jet set vibe. You keep walking and pass these big sculptures and a watch display: price tag, a bunch of 0s.

We are sit by this group of young kids, they are drinking and having a lot of fun. At another table there are 2 buff dudes, short hair and only drinking a beverage. No alcohol. Hmm this reminded bodyguards on duty.

More stories to tell and overall a great experience.

Oh and the food, you are wondering, it's French, it's good of course.

Great place! Must order duck confit and foie gras carpaccio! But the best part ever is desert menu - mille feuille raspberry, bonne maman apple pie and profiteroles ???? Very long cocktail list

French Bistro with great service, well prepared food, and good wines and desserts, elegant but casual 24 hours service

In a few words: a fraud and a complete rip-off.
We have been to the original Au Pied de Cochon in Les Halles area, in Paris, a dozen times and we love the place in the most dedicated manner. That was the reason we opted for Au Pied de Cochon in Polanco, CDMX.
The overall recreation of the original place is OK. The food is merely a weak claim for an authentic French cuisine, but still OK.
But then... we ordered the most expensive seafood plate, Plateau Royal for 2 persons for $2,960. The platter included a 500 gr Canadian lobster (Bogavante Canadiense). The lobster was never brought. When we inquired about the reasons, we were told that unfortunately the lobster wasn't available and instead - lo and behold - they gave us more shrimp. Seriously??? First of all, the staff was supposed to warn us about it before the plate was brought to us. And secondly... we were still charged the $2,960 even though the most expensive part of the dish got never served.
This is the most fraudulent restaurant practice we have ever witnessed in years. A true disgrace.
