This cantina is the real deal. It's in the heart of Polanco and is yet unpretentious and fun. Plenty of screens to watch sports, background music and some really authentic Mexican dishes. Any tacos from the menu will not disappoint, they also have pretty savvy bar tenders.

Location and decor were nice. Outdoor seating is available. The mole enchiladas were good. I enjoyed the visit. Prices were good. Plenty of drink choices.

We did dine in at first and liked it, so we decided to do takeout the next day for dinner. Didn't expected it to be so bad service. They made us wait 45mins to get our order of 3 dishes. Finally got the food but it was all wrong. Only 1 dish was correct , remaining 2 orders were wrong. The shrimp tacos were not good and were very hard. We asked for hot salsas, none was there. We got charged more and they made us tip for takeout food. It was horrible. Wouldn't recommend it.

Service u0026 food are excellent. Tried the whole menu during my stay in Mexico and I can’t stop coming over and over again. Everything is good and the sauces are just outstanding. Will come back on my next trip.

PROS: great location, good food, outstanding service. Chicken pork combo pazole is to die for.

CONS: my friend ordered ceviche and wasn’t good. My Argentinian friend ordered Fernet and he said , its too minty and wasn’t supposed to be. Again, not because of the restaurant, but the product. There was too much of smoke smell from cigarette.

Sat on the patio. They would not allow me to taste a wine that they served by the glass. Okay....I'll take an Apreall Spritzer.... it was FLAT (no gas). Sent it back and asked for the bottle of wine that you wouldn't let me taste. HOT...asked for wine bucket....came with NO ICE. Had to ask for the ice....then I had to self-pour my wine.....

Ahhhaaa..

Might be a bit expensive but good basic Mexican food. Recommend the Patron Tacos: 3 tacos; soft tortilla, steak, cheese, vegetables, refried beans on the side. Nothing fancy; I might have called them small burritos. Chips and salsa for table. Outdoor seating pleasant on a nice day. Street vendors trying to sell their stuff, shoe shine too. Indoor seating available. Many just sit and have a drink. Plenty of service not much English spoken. English menu available. Valet parking kind of available. T.V. s everywhere, no volume. On a round about with traffic dodging each other. Traffic not excessive. Nice neighborhood with several other restaurants and shopping around.
