Excellent exhibit on art and culture of an ancient civilization contemporary with but different from the Maya. Included great images and explanations of the actual archaeological dig. Another exhibit of an individual man's collection of mesoamericana . Very informative. QR code gets you the main captions in English.

One of the poorest museums I have ever seen. The palace around it is not uninteresting, but the exhibition is not worth to visit, unless you have special interests. Loveless pictures of people a foreinger will not know, some broken pottery, some video presentation. Don't get me wrong, if you are into this - 5 Stars! But that was kind of waste of time.

Beautiful building but disappointed exhibits. 1st floor limited archeological and anthropological exhibits. 2nd floor is a small portrait gallery. All was quiant but small. Good for 30 - 45 minutes of your time. They really could do much more in this space. The building itself is beautiful.

This building is beautiful inside and out. Admission is free for those with an INAPAM card. There is an English guide to the exhibits...you scan the QR code to get it. The exhibits on the ground floor about ancient Maya hieroglyphic writing are very interesting. The exhibit of contemporary Mayan stitchery and fashion design is showcases current artists.

Beautiful museum and reasonably priced. $85 pesos/person...and nice and cool in the Merida heat!

The building is nice, European style architecture, but unless you want to look at some old bowls and not a whole lot else (there were some small sculptures which were quite interesting, hence the 2 stars rather than 1) I would give this one a miss. I saw everything in like 20 minutes. Maybe us gringos stole all the interesting stuff for our own museums

I had not expected to find a museum with exhibits dedicated to indigenes from an area other than the Yucatan, but I was not disappointed by the depth of the exhibits. Although the exhibit details were only in Spanish, they were easy to understand. The building is spectacular both interior and exterior. The art on the top floor was very colorful but the subject matter was a bit jarring m
