An outstanding hotel next door to the museo in downtown Merida. We visited as a group of 9 (4 adults and 5 boys) and loved it. Sunita and Patrick have built an oasis of calm and cool in this wonderful , vibrant and exhausting city - the pool saw a lot of action during our stay to recharge the batteries! Great staff, rooms and suites beautifully designed and appointed, wonderful recommendations for dining out in this foodie metropolis. Whole party took the lunchtime cooking class which we loved - fascinating visit to the local markets to pick up ingredients with our chef and then cooking up lunch in the great kitchen. Couldnt recommend more highly, everything you want a city hotel to be: personal, relaxing and intimate.
PS - we also checked out their new venture next door the Treehouse (over 18s only I think) - amazing and if we return without kids, this will be next port of call.

Nice hotel centrally located. Not sure why the staff keep the entrance door closed all the time, a bit annoying to wait for someone to let you in every time when you get back to the hotel.

The boutique hotel is certainly on the pricier side, but the services and quality of rooms received makes it well worth it. The staff on duty were very helpful and acted promptly when I needed replacement linens at a busy hour. Additionally, its proximity to the city's cultural center makes it an unparalleled stay from which to explore the city. Highly recommended.

The only cool thing about this hotel is location. The staff was polite and helpful but unprepared and not well trained. The pool looks so big in the photos but it is rather small and filled with bees, we couldn't swim at all. TV did not work and they never came to fix it. The telephone in our room did not work either so we had to drag ourselves all the way downstairs to the lobby to ask for stuff at reception every single time, and nope they never fixed that either. The hot water in the shower only runs about 20 minutes and we had a suite so each of us had to literally time ourselves to shower it was hilarious but also disturbing, nobody wanted cold showers and it is ridiculous they only allow you a certain amount of time for that. It's ok for the price if you are just looking for a place to sleep while visiting Mérida but don't expect much. Yeah it was clean and the hotel is really nice but service ain't. Also the "free breakfast" included is either a plate of fattening food or 5 slices of fruit. We ordered fruit, and they brought us ONE plate for the 3 of us containing literally 5 slices of fruit, like really? Also there's no parking space. It's just good for location.

My husband and I spent 3 nights and four wonderful days at Boutique by the Museo and it felt like being at home. The suites/apartments were clean, had luxury towels and sheets, the beds were comfortable. and the property was as nice as the pictures. The staff was helpful and attentive and having the owners on the property meant that every detail was on point. I would highly recommend it!
