This hotel was way above my expectations. The decor is great with old and modern touches. I’ve never seen such incredibly high ceilings anywhere before. Hosts were very accommodating and knowledgeable about recommendations for restaurants as well as activities in the surrounding areas. Parking is offsite if you have your own vehicle, around the block and you’ll need a staff member with a remote to come with you if you need to go to your car. Most places are easily within walking distance and the streets and houses are all colorful and worth seeing. Would highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at hotel Hacienda, the hotel itself is situated very close to the city centre with lots of top-rated restaurants and bars around. The decor and pool are stunning, and the staff are all very welcoming. Despite the nearby building work, we found the hotel to be very peaceful and charming.

My slight recommendations would be to include mosquito nets and a fridge in the room, and to improve the poolside facilities - more loungers or comfy seats with shades.

This place has everything you need for your next stay in Mérida. We spent a week here and it was hard to leave. The place is clean and very well kept without loosing its rustic look. We woke up every morning to the sounds of birds. They provide water everyday and you can even have breakfast in your room. Staff are extremely helpful, Ismael and Rosa Elena recommended a few activities and were always welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants and within walking distance from the Cathedral and the main plaza as well as from Paseo Montejo. We used their parking which is only one block away. We would love to visit again!

Just had the worst night of my stay and I did not think it would be in a nice place like this. Great location, near the center, very nice poolside. BUT we have the Suite upstairs of 50m2. We stayed in hotel with no star and there was a better protection against mosquitoes. The room was full of them before we got here and no windows were opened at night, of course. We were not able to sleep. We killed ~15 mousquitoes between 2 am and 5 am. Thank god I brought my electrical "tennis racket" to fry them off. Somehow the Mosquito spray or lemongrass did not repulse them at all. They eat you through the very thin (and only) blanket. Got up at 3 am to grab pool towels as blankets to cover us better. We got off the bed at 7.30, we were able to see them and we killed again 12-20 mousquitoes. FYI there is a construction worksite just next to the hotel (quite noisy) and the sink is leaking. The person at the reception did not seem surprised. And no excuse lol. I wish I knew how to post pictures of the dead mosquitoes with blood in the bed.

Beautiful and clean hacienda in the middle of Merida where the staff did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Lovely rooms and everything as advertised (construction work was mentioned on booking and did not bother us)

Beautiful and unique hacienda with lots of extras- nice pool, courteous service, great complimentary toiletries, and really good breakfast. Also great location- we could walk everywhere.

Watch for the mosquitos during the summer months. They are aggressive. Tip: Bring an electric swatter and be prepared to spend an hour clearing out the room.
