We spent an amazing month in Casa Flor de lis. The house is beautiful. Recently renovated, bright, well designed, well equipped.
It sets just a little bit outside of the center so it's very quiet yet still in a walkable distance from the busy part of the town. It's a pleasant 15 mins walk through the pretty streets of Merida, but you can always call an Uber, it's very cheap here.
The neighbourhood, just as the whole of Merida, is very safe and friendly. We never felt unsafe even for a second when walking home during the night.
We're both working online, during our stay we had video calls frequently and the internet never let us down. We had a very stable 100 Mbit internet throughout our stay.
It's good to know that the weather is very hot in Merida, so the pool is truly a blessing. It's very private and gorgeous. Whenever we felt a bit tired from work we went in for a quick dip, and everything felt brighter afterwards.
This place is a gem. We're definitely coming back to Merida just to stay here again.
