What a wonderful experience staying with Lourdes and Juan-José in Casa Akbal. Planned on staying for a couple of days but ended up living there for almost 3 weeks. Lovely atmosphere, comfortable and clean rooms, amazing shower (Pretty unique during my stay in Mexico), fast WiFi (perfect for remote work) and so much more. Will definitely be back one day!

Very good venue to stay at.
Friendly, family run. Lovely courtyard with small pool. Rooms spacious and very comfy bed and pillows.
Recommended.

Lovely hosts, friendly atmosphere, clean and nicely decorated rooms! Cosy and quiet courtyard next to the pool.

Nice clean and well taken care of place. Great family. Nice and homie. The owners were very helpful with getting us Uber’s and helping us find our way around town. And They speak English.

Lovely family owned place. Exceptionally clean, nicely appointed. I would highly recommend! Juan has a wealth of knowledge of the Yucatan and delightful.

Great cozy place to stay while visiting Merida. Simple, clean and with a home fewling. The service is kind and gentle from their owners.
