A great place with a lot of tradition. The food is delicious and the taste is unique. Pedro Infante (1917-1957), a very famous former Mexican actor, visited this place regularly. This place has a special taste for you to remember for good. Just some steps away from the ADO Downtown bus station.

Small place has been here for many years without much change. Food is great. Breakfast and lunch menues. Local dishes like sabutes and panuchos. One of few places that has tamales (Oaxacan style). Beer not on menu but available on request. Everyone friendly and polite.

The food was ok, but the experience in general was really disappointing. And not a budget eatery compared to others, at $110 pesos. Not good value for money! We asked what food there was, he offered us 2 choices. We weren't offered the menu (which we saw at the end), and there was no other signeage with what food or drinks were available, or prices. So we chose food, then asked about drinks, and chose drinks. Then we asked how much it was. He said $110. He was walking past us as he spoke and that's all we heard. So it turned out $110 was a set menu of soup, a drink (but not one of the ones that we had chosen), and a dessert. They then brought us another 2 drinks, the ones included in the set menu, although the drink I had already ordered was included in the set menu. We didn't know we were getting soup or a dessert. The food was also walked in on a tray from from another location, the kitchen isn't on site. On unloading the tray he dropped the tortillas on the floor. Really bad customer service, and bad communication. In addition a lady working there was on her mobile phone, then immediately handling food without washing her hands. The customers next to us, the waiter said to them that service wasn't included, pushing for a tip. But everyone knows here that in cheap places, the tip isn't included. That's just rude. A manager was on site and defended their staffs actions and we were not offered any kind of apology at all. Walk on and find somewhere else ...

Just the best breakfast - I would highly recommend coming here - great service and friendly staff.

Very teasty Sandwich! We had very little time (20 min) yesterday morning before our ADO bus to Bacalar, but never the less we got a very quick and teasty breakfast there. I can especially recommend the Sandwich.

The waiter brought us spoiled fruit water and when I told that this is bad one, he just took and changed without any excuse. The quesadillas were covered with ketchup and mayonesa and they were discussing. If you are at ADO and hungry, better go hungry than eat there

After a very frustrating morning, our trip to Cafe Petropolys was much needed. Very friendly wait staff and we were served very quickly
