It's not a big place but you can tell the people that work here are very proud of it. Their main attraction is a giant Mastodon skeleton that is complete. And it's free!

Would spend no more than 2 hours here, lots of rooms, some of them locked. What attracted me to the place as I assume is the case with a lot of others was the skeleton of the woolly mammoth. If you’re only coming here to see that, it does not disappoint. It’s amazing how well preserved this specimen is. The tusks on the skeleton are almost unbelievably large.

Unfortunately there are no English descriptions of objects in the Museum .
But anyway it’s totally worth entering ,to see the building itself , mammoth skeleton ,prehispanic handcrafts .
Now it is operating 11-15 .

It's beautiful. Plan on spending at least a few hours to really see and appreciate it, not just the displays but the building itself.

A must go to. The building itself is magnificent. The art work some of the best religious art I have seen. pieces of history for you to view everywhere. Worth the effort to spoil yourself.

Majority of the info is in Spanish. I don't know how they selected the pieces that had English information.
I don't understand how they organized their collections. Things seemed randomly placed, jumping times/subjects and overall a little hard to follow.
