The owner of this hostel is incredibly paranoid - he changed the locks on me when I went out for the night, so I could not get back in. I ended up needing to get a motel room for the night, even though I already paid for my room here. He also only speaks Spanish, which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if he had another employee who could speak English. However, he is the only one who works here, and it is impossible to communicate with him unless you speak Spanish.

Besides that, the hostel has a problem with pests. If you leave food on the counter in the kitchen, within 2 minutes it will be covered with ants. There were cockroaches in the communal dishes and pots. Also, there were several times when I saw a rat wandering around the kitchen, trying to get into the garbage can.

It's a shame, I really wanted to like the place, as I've stayed in cheap hostels before and I knew generally what to expect. However, the owner makes it impossible to enjoy your time in Cancun (if you want to go out after 10 pm) and his inability to keep the place clean is a deal-breaker. Please, save yourself the trouble and pay a little bit more to stay at any other hostel in Cancun.

I was sceptical about this hostel based on the previous comments, but couldn't fault the hostel or owner. It is what it is, a cheap hostel with no thrills and an ok but not great free breakfast. Toast and instant coffee with jam. Cheap prices reflect the hostels facilities. Circa $7 per night including breakfast. Make sure the price you see online is the price you pay on arrival. I had a few problems with this but it was my fault as I didn't book. Hostel has approx 12 beds so not going to be super busy. Wouldn't recommend if travelling solo and want to meet people.

i stayed there when there is a weird guest and he spissed every time, the toilet was broken and not clean. There is no breakfast as stated in hostelworld. I asked the owner if i want to hang my clothes, he said no first, even there are lines upstair and in garden, and agreed later when i insisted that i make by my own line with little space...

Cheap, but kinda dirty, breakfast is toast and instant coffee, but very close to bus terminal. All beds were booked when we got here and got to sleep in hammocks for a reduced price. Would be better if there was purified water available for a cost. It's wasteful to continually go to the oxxo next store to buy single bottles of water.

Very cheap and convenient with the expected amenities but we were charged to leave our luggage whilst waiting for a night bus after checking out. Otherwise good for the price but nothing special. The gentleman in charge is very nice and it is a safe spot.

If the address matched up to what was posted on their booking site, this wld have been easy to locate and the guy who works there just brushes it off like it's no big deal. He is paranoid abt the keys as I dropped mine on the floor and he said it was dangerous. That was insulting to be talked down to. How cld that be dangerous since the address is not on the key??? You get what you pay for--cheap and near the bus stn. Hot water didn't work first day I arrived. Good/fast wifi inside dorm rooms.

A smaller hostel very close to the ADO. Great security Gate. There is a kitchen, tv room, hammocks and clean bathrooms. The beds here were so comfortable..
