I was staying very nearby Bistro Limon so my friends and I thought happy hour would be wonderful considering the view. Lots of seemingly nice choices on the menu as well. The Bistro Limon website lists happy hour as 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. I went ahead of my friends to get settled only to be greeted by a friendly local gentlemen at the reception desk. But then... a rude American (maybe an owner or manager) came up asking me in a barking-like tone that couldn’t I tell they were closed and happy hour ended at 4:00. I advised him HIS website said 6:00 and from there he continued to talk down on me. Given that, I left. I had been to that location before when it was run under a different name. The inside now is now rather lack luster. It wreaked of cigarette and cigar smoke as the employees were smoking during the down hours between happy hour and dinner I guess. Bistro Limon will be a Puerta Vallarta casualty in the very near future if this is how this gentlemen runs his establishment. He could certainly learn a few things about hospitality from the locals who are, or course, kind and welcoming. Also, be aware. A dog will come at you when you enter the restaurant hallway from the street. And who want to see that first thing at a restaurant? A dog inside a restaurant? Really?
