Our group of 11 went here to celebrate the 40th birthdays of two friends, and the service was far beyond what I would ever expect. They even went so far as to bring not one, but three birthday treats for the birthday boys. Watching them make the Mexican coffee with poured flames was an amazing experience. The views are also some of the best in Puerto Vallarta. I will definitely be back next time I’m in PV. It’s one of those gems you wish everyone knew about!

Great views, great service. Food average. If you go, go for the view.

The place has a lovely view of the city and bay, however the food was not up to par. Salads to start the meal were good, but two from our party ordered two different chicken entres and after waiting about 40 minutes both resembled in appearance , taste and texture a defrosted chicken breast you would buy in a bulk pack from Costco. Don't think we'll be back for a meal but perhaps a late evening cocktail to enjoy the view

Four of us booked dinner here and had two friends join us. Two of us had pre-ordered the Sunday prime rib special. We waited half an hour to have our drink order taken. When we were finally able to order our server Yaya told us they were short staffed so we were forgiving about the wait. We ordered our appetizers - salad and soup - and those were great. Where the meal fell apart was the main course. The prime rib was tough and much less than enjoyable. Two of us ordered the pork chop and both of struggled to cut it, let alone chew it. Very bad. One spear of asparagus and a mini potato served as the vegetable accompaniment which was much not enough to satisfy a child. At the end of the evening our bill apparently posed a struggle and there was no receipt given. The cost was outrageous. Needless to say notwithstanding the fabulous view and setting, we will definitely not be back. Very, very disappointing.

Went with a group of 10. All of us were more than pleased. One of the best meals I've had in PV and we have been coming to PV for 20 years.
I had the salmon and my husband had the Mexican pork shoulder. Several
in our group had steaks and they all razed. It is on hills, where the Vista Grill was located. Wonderful view and reasonable prices. You bill was under $50 (US) and we each had a drink. A short taxi ride from Old Town
cost 50 peso.

I was staying very nearby Bistro Limon so my friends and I thought happy hour would be wonderful considering the view. Lots of seemingly nice choices on the menu as well. The Bistro Limon website lists happy hour as 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. I went ahead of my friends to get settled only to be greeted by a friendly local gentlemen at the reception desk. But then... a rude American (maybe an owner or manager) came up asking me in a barking-like tone that couldn’t I tell they were closed and happy hour ended at 4:00. I advised him HIS website said 6:00 and from there he continued to talk down on me. Given that, I left. I had been to that location before when it was run under a different name. The inside now is now rather lack luster. It wreaked of cigarette and cigar smoke as the employees were smoking during the down hours between happy hour and dinner I guess. Bistro Limon will be a Puerta Vallarta casualty in the very near future if this is how this gentlemen runs his establishment. He could certainly learn a few things about hospitality from the locals who are, or course, kind and welcoming. Also, be aware. A dog will come at you when you enter the restaurant hallway from the street. And who want to see that first thing at a restaurant? A dog inside a restaurant? Really?
