Such a fun place to walk through - so colorful! Clothing, home furnishings, jewelry and of course local art. Highly recommend for that one-of-a-kind gift — or for yourself!

Arte Viviente is expanding and has moved to 224 Matamoros in Centro. Only a short 12 minute walk away, l added a map on photos showing the exact location. Same great store, but now with four floors of showrooms featuring art, fashion accessories, home decor, and organic products. Check them out at their beautiful new location beginning Friday, February 12th at 11:00 AM. EXPANDED HOURS COMING SOON!

I don't get too excited about shopping because it's usually just plain boring. Art Viviente is different and I had to force myself to leave and go to my next stop. So many beautiful pieces of art to see. The gallery also has furniture, sculptures, clothing, jewelry, and some consumable products. Everything is hand made by local artisans. This is NOT a consignment shop, it is an artist co-op where the rent and associated expenses are shared by the artists who supply the extensive inventory.
With two floors and several large rooms of everything original the place will keep you there for hours! I could actually afford some of the items they had available for sale. Paintings ran from 300 to 10,000+ MXN and many were very large which l really like. Don't miss an opportunity to go see them when your in Centro, but it's actually worth a special trip if you
are looking for something specific because l think they will have what you are looking for. Arte Viviente does accept major credit and debit cards in addition to currency.

August 3, 2020. I had not been back in several months due to the pandemic and quarantine which kept most of the city in their homes, so it was a pleasure returning and to see Marcia and Kim and the recently remodeled gallery with even more amazing things l would love to take home. My primary reason for the visit was to update photos for Google and to drop of some personal work which will be on display at the gallery. Make it a point to check out the photos l took and to go to Arte Viviente and see the two floors filled with over a thousand items all created by the talented and hands of local artisans.

A co-op of local artists. If you are looking for original artwork to decorate your house you should shop here. There are 4 floors to browse.

Kim Wilson is a scam artist. She's had numerous failed business, owing money to many people in Canada. Be careful and cautious doing any business with her! She knows just what to say to charm the money out of your pockets.

A marvellous space showcasing the best creative artists in Vallarta at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
