Although the location is great and the rooftop is nice, there are a number of issues. The bar downstairs is loud until after midnight and you can definitely hear it strongly in all the rooms which makes it hard to sleep. Also, there seems to be a problem with the AC system as our room smelled strongly of mold. If I had been staying more than one night, I would have left as I feel it could have risen to the level of a health issue. I called Hilton corporate to give them the feedback and so hopefully these issues will get corrected but I’d probably choose a different property next time I’m in this area.

Decent hotel, barely stretches into the 4 star category IMHO.

Location is good.

Definitely some quirks and deficiencies with the hotel experience. Guests are expected to pay for access to a lounger next to the main rooftop pool. They can use the other pool without paying extra.

When you arrive they'll mention a "welcome gift", be careful with this as it's actually a disguised pitch for a time share investment and you won't know until you are sitting down with the sales person trying to pitch you on an "investment" in an increasingly unstable region of Mexico (QR).

This pitch will waste your time and energy unless you are in the minority actually interested in purchasing a timeshare in Mexico.

Great rooms and service folks, but the food/drink consistency was below my expectation. Not too surprising based on the new COVID economy I guess. I'll have to give them another shot at 5-stars next year! The roof-top pool / bar / restaurant is great!

I give it 5 stars just because the front desk lady (I believe her name is Natalie) she was amazing always smiling and made us feel like home. Every issue we had , she was immediately on top of it and resolved it !

I wanted to love this place but too much went wrong. The staff are lovely and very helpful, however we paid for a junior suite, and got a deluxe room. We were only there 2 nights so I could not be bothered to argue. I was just ready to leave. Also, we booked for 2 nights but they said they only had 1 on the system. Even with proof on email etc, they were hesitant and acting funny. Very ridiculous. Glass was on the floor in the bedroom when we entered as was a piece of old food. Very weird. If we were here longer I would be livid, but again we were only here 2 nights and it was the start of our holiday so we let it fly.
For the price though you cannot complain. Amenities and location was great. We loved the pool view and marley cafe. A great find if you can get over the gripes.

-Mold smelling room. Even after upgrade…
- Room service food is not good, but the coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted
-Helpful staff, but high pressure sales when you first arrive.
Rooftop infinity pool was cool.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The only redeeming quality is the pool and proximity to 5th ave.

I booked a 10 night stay in April 2022 with my spouse, when we tried to use the rooftop pool facilities we were informed that poolside seating was only for certain guests or we would have to pay a 200 dollar a day all inclusive fee to sit poolside at the main pool facing the ocean. We Stayed at the Fives three years ago and there was no such policy, which is not mentioned anywhere when booking. We decided to change hotels after two nights and were told by the front desk we would be charged for the two nights that we stated in the room and would be charged an additional night penalty for checking out early. The hotel recently informed Expedia that they will not refund the unused portion of our stay because we chose to leave. Beware of this hotel and their hidden fees and don't believe anything they tell you. There was another family checking out early for the same reason at the front desk at the same time. A total disappointment and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
