Just another tourist trap on 5th avenue, if you need to buy gifts or souvenirs, go to the Walmart half mile away.

This store probably has the best selection of all the tourist shops along the 5th Avenue strip. They also seemed to have the best prices of all the shops as well. I was trying to find a hard to find laser cut wood pyramid puzzle that they were sold out of the model I wanted in two other stores. Yet this store had it completely in stock. They also had a great selection of local drinks, an entire chocolate section with live chocolate making demonstrations and tons of other tourist goods. They also had a fair selection of other small goods for your everyday needs. Check out was fairly fast, even with the night time crowds.

We always visit this store while in Playa del Carmen. They had some good black Friday deals on tequila so we bought a bottle of Amor Mio reposado. It's a big store with lots to choose from.

Huge selection of tourist stuff and convenience store items. Good prices for the neighborhood. With the amount of competition in the neighborhood this store stands out.

Playa Mart on 5th ave is full of disgusting thiefs! they charge you and bag everything behind their counter, meanwhile taking item's you were charged for and stuffing them away until you leave, then restocking them. what a much of pathetic, disgusting pig's. I'm going to to all the Playa del Carmen group page's and telling them how thing's work in your filthy store. I am making it a mission to tell everyone how you run thing's, and I have a large social media following.

No use standing in line at the cashier's. The first one who can push his merchandise on the counter gets to be served.
