Don’t go! We are not picky, but this hotel is disgusting. It stinks, it’s nasty and the host don’t care. It’s in a good location but not worth at all. Take a luxury condo for cheaper!! Don’t waist your time.

Very good option for the price! Spacious room, good kitchen to prepare a basic breakfast and good proximity to the beach. Recommended! The only minus is that you have to climb the stairs with your suitcase since they do not have an elevator

First impression was bad as you had to climb stairs to get to the hotel. No elevator. Inside rooms look decent like a studio apartment with huge full size refrigerator stove, microwave, mixer, coffee maker, tv etc. some essential utensils. Rooms are spacious with kitchen and good size bathroom. They provide separate towels for beach. Overall good for the price you pay. It’s cheap hotel and good for price.

This place is definitely misrepresented by their pictures. This is the kind of cheap dumpy place with a great location I would stay at when I was in college with my friends partying all night. This is not somewhere to stay at otherwise. I rarely leave bad reviews but this one is needed so no one accidentally books here that shouldn’t. See the few pics below. Things wrong: pesos only at arrival, awkward set up with no real reception people, moldy blinds, shower smelled like urine, bedside table falling off the wall, lamp looks like it had caught fire previously, roof top pool is dumpy and tiny like a “dipping pool” only which the advertised pics don’t do justice to reality.

Pros: location is perfect to party on 5th, it was dirt cheap, the room tv had Netflix logged in.

This place was nasty enough that our friend who booked this place to visit us just left without asking for refund and got a nicer place elsewhere lol

EDIT: they might call themselves a different name on booking websites “silversands boutique” but nothing with that name comes up on Google Maps. Just a heads up, inspect your room before you pay cash.

The room was good. It's a smaller building with a few suites and a rooftop pool. There is no shade on the roof, but lots of loungers and tables to sit at. The pool is chest deep. We had a problem with checkin as they were unable to take any payments via credit card and only accepted pesos. I had USD on me and eventually they allowed me to pay with that. The website said they took CCs but the manager stated that they had just changed owners and the bank was issuing them a new terminal. It made it slightly inconvenient at the time to have to pay cash at checkin. Good air conditioning in the room.

The la Mar hotel is more of a serviced apartment or condo. However it has absolutely everything that you need
Great location back room we stayed in was quiet and the staff are lovely. It was VERY clean and absolutely no more than a 5 min leasurly stroll from the beach, NOT 20min Thats a joke. Maybe an amputee who lost thier prosthetic limb...
