You get what you pay for.
The hotel is a lot more run down compared to what's advertised in the pictures.
If I were to visit Playa Del Carmen again I would opt to stay elsewhere and pay more money for better rooms and facilities.
I had to move rooms because the original room I was given had lots of issues.
Room smelt of damp mould, some surfaces weren't cleaned properly, missing safe, loud refrigerator, showered head that sprayed water everywhere, missing hairdryer, slow Internet, etc.
The room I got moved to wasn't much better, but was a slight improvement.
The main upside was the location and the staff were quite friendly. Otherwise I would have given it 2 stars.
