It's a shame: I would have given this place a 4-star review, as the food was delicious and they seemed very accommodating, but the waiter became really rude in the end when we wanted to pay by card just to find out that they did not take any form of card payment, so we struggled to get together the total amount of our bill + 10% tip. I guess he was expecting a larger tip or wanted to be paid in dollars instead. He just took the money, looked at us and walked away without saying a word. No "goodbye", no "thank you". We'd have loved to leave a larger tip in cash if we had been able to pay our bill by card, but we did not carry several thousand pesos in cash as every other restaurant in Playa del Carmen accepts cards.

Food was very good and fresh with decent prices especially considering its just a few feet off of 5th. Also, seemed to be a favorite of locals vs tourists! Only problem is the innatentive service...for example, one waiter actually asked us (not the other way around) if we wanted ketchup for our fries so we said yes and waited to eat start digging into them. He never returned so before they got too cold we asked a different waiter for ketchup and he never returned either. Also, had to wait too long for anyone to notice we were finished and wanted the check.

Best fish and see food you'll ever eat!
It's so fresh you can select your fish before they go and prepare it for you.
My recommendation, ask for a Shrimp and Octopus cocktail to start, and a really nice fish for the main course ????

I’ve visited playa 5 times now and I ensure to stop here at least once during my trip.
Beware… the portions are huge !!!
Food is tasty and always fresh.
Priced have significantly gone up since my first visit, but I still frequent this restaurant. It’s worth it to me, because I always leave with leftovers.

The guacamole was fantastic. However, the seafood was not fresh and I got diarrhea after. Also, they automatically add 10% tips which annoys me because the bill didn’t show the tips. I had to flag down the waitress to get the bill corrected.

EXCELLENT! We loved this shabby, hole-in-the-wall fish place! The server brought out whole fish and lobsters to our table for us the choose, weigh, and price. We got the whole grouper and lobster tail. The food didn't take long considering they had to clean the fish. The grouper was amazing as was the lobster. It was not hard or messy to eat the way they served it. The sides were just right -veggies, rice, black beans. This place is not to be missed! Our whole meal was under $60 USD. Well worth it!

the best dining experience here in playa del Carmen. the service is out of this world along with the prices that are very reasonable. ultra fresh fish and tasty accoutrements. this is a must visit for any seafood loving person.
