Mi familia and I enjoyed their breakfast and lunch specials this week. The food was excellent in terms of quality, quantity and price. If I lived in the neighborhood, this would be one of my favorite restaurants.

Solid less touristy spot. Good variety of options at fair prices and a calm atmosphere with kind and quick service. I got a combo with chilaquiles verdes, fresh orange juice, and coffee for 90 pesos (~$5 USD) and it was really good. It came with an egg on top (I asked for mine scrambled) and also had a small side of beans which made for a quality protein packed vegetarian meal :) I wish I had tried this spot earlier on in my stay!

Family owned cozy restaurant, offers both indoor and outdoor seats. Excellent homemade food, with great variety of choices. We’ve been there almost every day, and tried just about everything, from chilaquiles for breakfast, to stuffed chiles for lunch, and always been impressed by the freshness and good quality of food and service. We even loved the burgers that they recently started to offer at dinner time. Gotta go!!

Great food at great prices. They have breakfast specials for 95 pesos which include a big meal (good portion and very tasty), coffee (unlimited refills), and a glass of orange juice (cold and very fresh). The only con I can think of was that the menu is only in Spanish. Other than that, this place is highly worth a visit.

As always, the Menú del Día was amazing. This is my favorite restaurant in Playa Del Carmen.
