You cannot find a better place to stay in Playa at this price range. The building is on a quiet street, to be in the center of the tourist area (short walk to everything). The building as well as the rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and A/C worked great. The host had great communication before we arrived and met us with a smile and gave us a lot of local info for food and places to see. There is a lavanderia around the corner to get your laundry done quickly, so you can pack light. Highly recommend Hotel Alux!

I spent 2 momths at Alux. Initially I was supposed to stay only one week. Estefania and her partner were so kind, I felt like home, especially in the apartments with a terrasse. It is in rhe very core of playa del carmen making it ideal to walk around. Steps away to la quinta avenue. Thank you so much for having me. I will come back. ♥️????????????????

Great budget comfortable accommodation with fantastic location. Estefania and her partner are great in managing the place and always willing to assist if you have an issue with the room. I've stayed one month and I would stay again. Definitely recommend.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this gem of an airbnb during our 6 day stay in Playa and it was fantastic. Water cooler, umbrellas to borrow, beautiful clean room with two beds, included housekeeping (once) and the loveliest loveliest home Estefania who was so warm and welcoming and sent over tons of suggestions to stuff to do and where to eat in the area. Loved it so much that I recommended it to my parents who are going to mexico in February!

BEST LOCATION .around 30 bucks Canadian gets you your own private suite with air con hot water TV super quite suite ,also very quite street and quite building yet your a block from all the action nightlife, best restaurants ,under 5 min walk to beach and 5th ave . Staff is what makes this place the top place in centro pdc for budget travelers super helpful , English speaking as well and always cleaning and maintaining the building and rooms and quick to serve your needs .don't be like me and waste a bunch of time searching around you wont find anything even close for this price .

Very nice mexican style place. Very clean close to the center of the city and many beaches. The staff are friendly pleasant and eager to help. We stayed 7 days and we recommend it for your visit to playa del carmen.
